Colorful fire... which is awesome! Bottle rocket turds are also awesome... So are M-80s in turds... Point is, the more awesome it is the less you care there's a turd in it...
How about pre-internet people didn't care so much or have an outlet... Love the 'goofs' section on IMDB but I don't get all excited if I see the reflection of some boom arm in the windshield of the third parked car on the left...
What's forgotten in this story is that two problems were solved. First, NOBODY solved the box issue until 8 million dollars was spent. Once that was done, a NEW problem started. A bell annoyed a guy who had better things to do. He solved the bell problem, not the box problem. You never would have gotten him to think of the fan until he had a personal stake in the solution.
Defining the problem accurately is the only way to get an effective solution. Otherwise you are only treating symptoms. (This is the stuff I do for a living)
And this is why we'll all be happy to use tablet PC's soon... The last time I moved maybe 20 boxes of books my love of my personal library drastically dwindled. If the world came to a point where the internet completely failed, I think moving a ton of books would be low on my priority list...
Getting practical in my old age I guess...
What's next? Mountains of old photographs?
Send them to google for digitizing and then burn them.
How is this different than oil drilling in a National Park? Corporate exploitation of public property... We clearly need a marketing branch of the US government...
Perhaps if the IRS and Facebook merged, we could have our taxes paid for by ad placements in our profiles?
I think 'stealing' is overblown. If I go in to a store, spend my time selecting all the items, then have to stand there while the store chooses not to sell me those items, I'm a tad peeved that they just wasted my time. That doesn't justify 'stealing' but I do believe stores that make it unnecessarily difficult for me to give them my money earn little sympathy.
So are we short on tequila or not? Either way can we stop burning it?
Movies and reality TV are fantasies people....
If computer software automatically files copyrights on digital work (easy to do) then could that create a legal precedent?
If pets can inherit money from owners, animals with assets isn't without precedent...
Sounds like the monkeys caretaker would be obligated to keep funds in a trust for the monkeys benefit...
Luddites...
Invoice is in the mail, thanks...
