Parents have the responsibility to care for and control their kids.

Why take off with a situation that's already well out of hand?

Good call for the airline.

No unreasonable. They should have a phone that you can swipe your fingernails through, so that the buttons can automatically adjust to the length of your nails. It would cost a little more, but that's the price of progress.
I'm sure we're all willing to shoulder that burden to remain non-gender-biased.

The Canadian $5 bill does not have stick-people running on it. That was definitely shopped for political reasons.

Funny thing about celebs is you can get a picture of one in a multitude of poses, so matching a face to a bill is probably relatively easy, and not so amazing.

This is interesting because it defies our concept of mechanical abilities 235 years ago. 235 years from now - if humans are still around - they'll be sitting on piles of leftover mechanical and plastic garbage, and won't be so interested in our 12-inch Japanese girlfriend robots.

Really, Ned, what's so outstanding about it?
People go across the country all the time. People go around the world in crazier contraptions. We just saw a post about a guy who does a silly jig all over the world.

Around the World in 80 Days was outstanding when it was written because it was a new concept. Travelling across the USA on a Vespa? Maybe it would have been a novelty a couple of decades ago. The journey is fascinating to him, I'm sure - he may learn some valuable life lessons. But the excitement pales in comparison to the guy who dances the silly jig all over the world. Or to the guy who took the pictures of all the giant sculptures of things while driving across the USA.

"But he went across the country in 66 days on a Vespa! It's an outstanding achievement!"

Sounds more like an extended vacation.
