a little off topic but I recall a couple years back some researchers were trying to measure the speed of gravity - they concluded that it was the same as the speed of light, but I'm pretty sure the experiment was flawed.

@ Gitai, I think thats an approximation, it's not considered good enough for high accuracy experiments where they work in sub micro-gram ranges.

I'm pretty sure that maximising the number of people who can escape from a building makes plenty of sense to the designers/ engineers.
