I love it, it's really pretty. It kind of reminded me of the book the Little Prince in a way... where the boy travels to all the strange planets... But the balloonist in this reminds me of Raz from Psychonauts for some reason ^_^. Must be the goggles.

I agree, the second one was the prettiest. Some of the later ones were pretty ordinary looking.
This is quite an interesting project, but not a very accurate experiment. It's fun to watch though.

It's worth a try at least... because the area I live in is "disadvantaged" (load of rubbish, but whatever), there aren't many part time jobs available for teenagers because a lot of teenagers drop out at sixteen and work full time. Also, there are a lot of adults working in places that require little experience. This makes it really hard for me to find a job, and believe me, I've tried pretty hard. I went to my local shopping centre and handed a CV into every shop and got no replies at all. I've been searching for a year and I've only got one interview. So maybe a change of tactics would be helpful.

I used to go on both boingboing and neatorama, but now I only visit neatorama. I found boingboing too opinionated on some things and it focussed too much on politics a lot of the time, mostly which doesn't apply to me as I don't live in the US.
I think Neatorama is definitely more fun. Boingboing is for people who want to actually learn useful things but Neatorama is more like QI- quite interesting, but pretty useless information (although some of the art links I showed to my art teacher and she showed them to the class...)

English food isn't about flashy presentation and exotic tastes, it's just good simple food, like fruit crumbles or rabbit stew (my favourites). I can see why you'd call it bland, as it doesn't really include many flavours, but pretty much most American cuisine stemmed from England (an "American" apple pie? Are you joking?), so it's only yourselves you're insulting.
And I have to agree with Brodel about the awful imitation "British" food. I went to a so called "authetic British pub" when I was in Washington DC and the food there was absolutely terrible. And don't get me started on the shortbread biscuits you have over there...

How is "Feck! Arse! Girls! Drink!" a put-down?
Apart from being completely awesome, I don't think anyone would be hurt too much by that.
And there were hundreds of way better ones from Life of Mars, but they were probably too politically incorrect or something. GENE HUNT FOR PRIME MINISTER ^_^

Hey that's discrimination against people without depth perception (me)! Apart from that, pretty neat design. It's good to see an office which isn't just a boring cubicle garden.

YAY for bridges. I've personally seen four (and a half) of those bridges:
1. Ironbridge (and the awesome replica Victorian town near it)
2. The Pont du Gard
3. Brooklyn Bridge
4. Tower Bridge

The half is that there's an exact replica of the bridge of sighs built over the river outside the University of Cambridge. Apparently this one isn't where people sigh on the way to their death, but where students sigh on the way to exams ^_^

So what? I could read when I was this old. It's not that uncommon. But the child doesn't seem like she's actually intelligent, just like she has picked up reading quite early.
It's funny though, I was really precocious as a child but I wasn't given any mental stimulation so I'm pretty much average now... which is annoying. I always think about what I'd be like if I had recieved extra work, or skipped a year (I didn't even learn anything new at school until about year three/ third grade).
