I wish I had the patience to do something like this...
I used to do origami but I always got annoyed with the tiny folds and did it too fast. My cranes always just looked like a scrunched up bit of paper...

Relax, it's only fun! Children are learning all the time at school, field trips just break it up a little. If you haven't noticed, young children generally don't enjoy museums or art galleries that much. At least in this place they may actually learn something.
I'm sure this place wouldn't be used for older children, and a lot of the museums and historical sites children are taken to when they're younger probably won't be relevant to what they're learning for years. At my old school, we used to go on trips to the zoo to learn about the animals, and also to old country houses for history. Guess which one I remember most about?
Anyway, it's a cool idea, and it's refreshing to see something different once in a while.

Reminds me of the Thursday Next series of books by Jasper Fforde... it doesn't say anything about unboiling an egg but whoever invents a recipe for unscrambled eggs will have invented time travel... so we're getting closer ^_^

I love the titles of books in the "Tragic Life Stories" section. I know it's sad and they had a hard time blah blah blah but no one really wants to read about that.
The best one was something along the lines of "My Mother Traded Me for a Packet of Cigarettes".
Other favourite book titles include "The Toyminator" (which wins extra points for the groan factor) and "Potty, Fartwell and Knob" (a book about... unusual... names)

The balls move around in really strange ways sometimes, and they slow down before they reach the players. I'm pretty sure that the stunts are all real but the balls were added in afterwards.
Sorry to ruin your fun but this is definitely fake

Wow! It's like a virtual boy that actually works and isn't just red and black and doesn't make your eyes hurt (that was a pretty bad console all round...)!
The only problem with this though is that in real life it would probably be less impressive because I am partially blind and have no depth perception... so for me at least I'm hoping the move to VR won't come too soon.
Also because playing Resident Evil in 3D would probably render me unable to sleep for at least a year. ^_^

Ouch. And there's only a limited number of them available.
That was probably the worst fall ever. I bet the guy was wishing he broke his legs instead.
Perhaps he should have invested in a stronger case?

I didn't realise it was real... I thought it was just something they made up!
That's quite cool!
And I still think lolcats is funny. Some of the old "I has a flavr" stuff and the walrus have gotten old now, but they still usually have quite funny new things.
You can't really take it seriously, and thats why I like it.

If he couldn't carry a gun with him, then how come he had one?
There are gun stores all over america, so it's not exactly difficult to obtain a gun, even if you don't buy it yourself it could be stolen from someone who had one. If guns for civilians were banned almost completely, like in England (okay there is still some gun crime but not nearly on the scale as in America), then I'm pretty sure this wouldn't have happened. It's only because guns are available that the guy even thought of doing this.
And I love how all Americans immediately say that if everyone was armed it wouldn't have happened. For a start, they didn't know the guy was armed till he started shooting, so people still would have died. And how many people in that crowd, if they were all armed, would actually react in time, and have had sufficient training to take out the gunman (not to mention the moral effect of shooting someone)?. Surely revealing that you yourself were armed would make you a target?
I understand that the security at the university should carry guns, provided they're used appropriately, but having everyone carry guns could have just led to more deaths, possibly accidental by the other students.
This has happened so many times now, its hard to believe that people still support the old system.

Bonobos and humans aren't the only two animals to mate face to face. I'm sure that there is a type of sloth which does too (either two-toed or three-toed)... at least that is what my science teacher told me and he used to be a naturalist, so I trust him.
I don't know though, it's not really an area I've done much research in ^_^

I'm pretty sure it will happen in England sooner.
In some parts of London, whites already are a minority. And racism against black people/asians/multi-racial people is not allowed, but white people are discriminated against all the time.
I think history is going to repeat on itself, only this time, it will be whites who are repressed.

Also in the cliffs of Dover there is a bomb shelter, and secret tunnels and rooms were cut into the chalk during WW2 and used as a military HQ. The earlier shaft is just a small part of it. I think there are also tunnels built underneath Dover castle (on top of the cliffs) which are from medieval time, but if I remember correctly most of them are closed off now. But the best bit about the cliffs is the small terrace built on the very top of the cliffs (attached to the castle) looking out over the sea. If you're ever in the area, visiting Dover Castle and the wartime tunnels is a pretty good day out. I live pretty close, and I've been there at least three times now, and its still fun.

So INCREDIBLY out of time. What's the point of having that twinkly background music if you're not going to follow the beat of it?
Probably quite cool, but I couldn't get past that major irritation.

And how do I know all this? My sister is completely obsessed with pugs and spends hours at a time watching this little guy mess up the screen. It's her only favourited link...
