Well at least they had that luxury and all that wealth some time, if even only two years. They owned that flashy car and house. They had the girls flocking towards them.
Later in life they can say- Hey yeas nowadays I do shitshovelling. but back then I had it all and that is more than 90% of the rest can say.

Depends on the type of switchboard. In 1959 when this happened UnreaL..., this guy had the luck that where he lived they had a by then already oldfashioned mechanical switchboard without time-release switches on it.

I dare to bet that all around the world and especially if there were Celts, if you dig long enough, everywhere where they had all the ingredients, you will find that this dish has been staple diet at some point. So most likely Whatever it is called, the equivalent of haggis will originate from Turkey to Scotland and from Spain to Poland and all countries in between. Because that is where the Celts lived.

Therefore I declare with great confidence: Haggis is clearly fro the south of Germany because that is heartland Celtic territory! ;-)

OMG Hasn't anyone thought about the possibility of getting ideas into heads of deranged cpoycat mentalcases that are out there and will want to make actual human skin rugs of innocent victims...? Groce! Dangerous!

Such a large bike and such a poor mileage...? I'd expect at least double of that! ...but then again- most of those big OCC-bikes have only about a teacup's worth of gas in the pathetic gastanks that they build on their usual bikes. So 60 miles perhaps for Paul Sr and his posse is something like Out of this world Range...? ;-)

at ananova dot com slash News slash story slash sm_3440125 dot html (3 year old boy gets motorbike license) you can find a story in addition to my question to Me. I rest my case if you take in consideration how many deadly accidents happen in traffic and especially with motorbikes.
...And then still maintain that this kid should not me allowed to shoot guns in a sportive environment...?

Stealing implies a notion of the concepts of good and bad, mine and yours.
Do animals have such notions?

What I wonder is how far this abiliy goes- Waht makes that the ability to learn new tricks is there and what makes that some abilities at some point simply are out of reach?
Do squirrels or apes or birds or humans or whatever get more intelligent over the generations of learning? Do they really amass knowledge, or is there some finite level of being able to keep abilities learned?
Most of us humans at some point in age seem to somehow think that the need to learn is not there anymore. But by what factor(s) is that point defined?

In Ye Olden Days when people still carried bludgeons and daggers and swords to defend against raiders and Vikings, it was perfectly normal for children to carry and use them from the moment they could walk on their own two feet. You still see that with small Amazonian tribes and in other parts of the world where people live in small communities that need to fight daily against nature and dangerous outsiders. I've seen boys of 4 years old handle AK47's in Afghanistan and Congo like my own kids at that age here in the "civilised" world do with their toys. But over there it still is killingly important to be able to use weapons as soon as possible. Not being able to use weapons as a means to defend oneself and ones family means inevitable death.
And there is the difference: Somewhere in our society's past development, weaponry went out and was replaced by stricter social control because over all we became more peacefull- First no carrying of weapons allowed within city-walls, after that, no weapons allowed everywhere. And with reason- It takes a strong policeforce and unarmed citizens to keep a more or less peacefull society.

In such an environment it seems ludicrous to teach any person old or young to carry and use arms.

And then there is this sport of the use of arms for target-sports. There the weapon is taken out of its context of harmful instrument of death and destruction and it is used solely as an instrument of accuracy.
Only it still is an instrument that if not used properly can kill and destruct.
But so can gocarts, horses, small and bigger motorbikes or even bicycles- Those all can cause death and wreak havoc if used wrongly. But there we hardly see any problem if four-year old children use them.

So no I see no problem whatsoever if this kid gets a gun to do this sport and if he turns out to be a champion at shooting at his age. As long as he keeps doing it only while practising that sport and not outside that domain.

Read this story before breakfast.
Bad move. ....Very bad move.... Made me lose my appetite completely. Only now a few hours later I feel compelled to comment.

Why -how- can humans get so distorted, so devilish?
I mean- Somehow I can understand that some people do not have any problems with plain and simple killing of other humans when those others are foes, enemies. In war, you kill. I can understand that.
But just savagely and happily torture and kill innocent people? And then children...?

And no please do not try to explain- I am very happy NOT -never- to understand some things in life...
