Even my stepson, who isn't the most sensitive guy in the universe, said "...why?!?" when confronted with this video (Not the stepson who pawned my DVD, but his younger brother).
Aaaaaaand, let the anti-Texas bigotry begin. I'm not saying that the shooting of dogs is a good thing, but I'm also too well acquainted with people from the city who drive out to the country (where there are fewer animal shelters and animal-rescue resources) to dump their unwanted animals. It would just be nice if for once a story that takes place in Texas or the South could be discussed without the bigots weighing in on the locale.
*sigh* If it were only Diet Coke, I'd have no problem; that stuff is narsty. But I actually LIKE Coke Zero and Diet Dr Pepper. I have been drinking three a day, but have cut down to just one at lunch.
Not surprised: my stepson once told me I was too old for MySpace (I was bemoaning its crappy interface as opposed to LiveJournal, which I vastly prefer). Then he made a big deal out of saying that I couldn't look at his profile because I wasn't one of his friends. As if I'd want to...
Wow, this is just amazing. I didn't like Palin or dislike her, but I couldn't understand the sheer overkill of vitriol directed toward her. It was interesting to see just how cruel and hateful her critics could be. No, it wasn't interesting, I take that back; it was sickening. But without getting into politics (I vote third party, if you're interested), as someone else pointed out, if this was toilet tissue with Obama's face on it, the reactions would be far different.
I have a book called "Picture Perfect Weight Loss" (the name of the author escapes me, but it's available through Rodale Press, because I got the offer to buy it when I was subscribed to "Prevention" magazine) that uses similar photos to get the point across.
But "The Princess Bride" is one of my all-time favorite movies, so thanks for the trivia as well.
