I've been reading Neatorama daily since it had only three or four posts on it. It's amazing how big it's become! Sometimes I still think it's a small blog only a few people frequent, but then I see the mass of comments and am proven wrong.
They're 'paid for'? Good grief. They weren't for her to buy. She could have bought a dozen new copies for the price of that fine. It's a pain in the ass when library books go missing, and popular ones at that.
I remember working in my high school library, students weren't allowed to pick up their exam results until they had returned or replaced the library books they'd borrowed. If only there was some way to get adults to be so responsible.
I live in a smaller city in Canada, so the Northern Lights are commonplace during the winter (I.E., I can see them from my deck). They have sort of an eerie, hovering glow about them, almost like you can hear them. Certainly breathtaking! I hope you can experience them some day!
