The Jell-innium Falcon

She may not look like much, but she tastes great where it counts. Actually, she looks pretty great too. justJENN Recipes made this fantastic Millennium Falcon replica out of nothing but gelatin mix, condensed milk, black dye and water cooled in a great Star Wars mold.

Best of all, you can make your own with the recipe if you happen to get one of those molds, but the most important and difficult part seems to be gently loosening the dessert from the mold so it will not rip or otherwise deform the ship.

If you want to make this a boozy Millennium Falcon, I suggest adding in some vodka and a swirl of Kaluha (that way it will look liks a bit of dirt on the ship) to make a White Russian Jell-o mold.

10 Places You Can Go To Get Up Close With Your Favorite Animals

Did you know that you can walk a cheetah on the beach of South Africa at the Cheetah Outreach education and conservation center? Or that you can hold hands with a chimp at the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Uganda? And these are only two of the great up close encounters you can have with animals as rounded up by The Daily Beast.

Unfortunately, the list does leave out my personal favorite experience -eating breakfast with a giraffe in your hotel room at the Giraffe Manor in Nairobi. It can't get much better than that.

Great Pics of The Week: Cute & Funny Critters

My apologies about leaving your guys without your weekly great pics, but I had some personal things come up. Ignore our lapse and instead enjoy these fantastic animal photos sure to make you smile -and giggle.

Official Facebook Photo Vs Your Tagged Photo

I don't know about you guys, but I feel like this is what I look like when people tell me to say "cheese" for a photo.

Enjoy An Interspecies Dinner From Thailand

(Video Link)

If men are from Mars and women are from Venus, then monkeys are from Mercury and cats are from Neptune. Even so, like men and women, they've been known to find common ground with one another. In fact, we've previously seen a monkey grooming a cat and the two species playing together, and it turns out they are also inclined to dine together as one YouTuber found while hiking through Northern Thailand. Aside from that, this video also teaches us that cats seem to enjoy potato chips, which is another thing I was not aware of.

Want to Eat A Pinecone? You Might Want to Try This One

Chances are you never felt hungry after looking at a pinecone, but chef Dominique Ansel, the creator of the Cronut, might just change all that. That's because he's created delicious desserts that look just like a pinecone, only they're gingerbread creations made with nutmeg cake filled with ginger caramel cream and feuilletine spiced mousse.

Aside from tasting better than a real pinecone, the texture of these cakes and fillings would presumably be a lot more enjoyble than the splintery, chewy feeling of the natural version.

They Will Never Take Our Bones!!!

What would happen if history was written by critters instead of people? Well, things would be pretty much the same, but our old portraits would be a lot more interesting (and adorable).

At least that's what the works of artist Christina Hess teaches us with these adorable historical portraits featuring cats, dogs, ferrets and more. Best of all, she covers all time periods of history, stretching from ancient Egyptian Pharaohs  to Elvis. You can buy a calendar of her historical art from her Etsy shop for only $6.

Breaking Bad: The Engagement Photos

I don't know about you guys, but I can't think of a more romantic show from recent time than Breaking Bad. Oh wait, maybe that was just the fake Brokeback Mountain parody someone made online.

Well, that doesn't change the fact that this couple's engagement photos are based around the show. The pictures belong to Redditor hshshshshshshs and while the images are delightful, I can't help but wonder who cooks and who deals in this special relationship.

13 Ways to Have Fun With Your Turkey This Thanksgiving

Are you looking forward to Thanksgiving? If you're the one in charge with cooking, you might not be excited because of the anxiety of putting together a huge meal for a large group. If you need a good stress reliever, perhaps you should try playing around with your food while you cook like these clever cooks

Unfortunately, I'm not sure that all of these crazy, funny turkey photos seem like they're actually a purposeful creation. I'm pretty sure this turkey cake wasn't meant to look so terrible, but hey, at least it brought joy to those who saw it -even if it was in the form of mocking laughter.

The Bizarrely Creative Sushi of Blue C Sushi

Like sushi but wish there were more classic European flavors with your fish? Then you just might dig the eclectic menu of Blue C sushi. Food Beast has a photo-loaded review of some of their great dishes and they've certainly got me interested. For example, the loaded baked potato roll above or their potato katsu that's sort of like a tater tot with a Japanese touch.

I'm also particularly fascinated by these crispy fried rice squares lightly fried with spicy tuna on top, with that great crispy texture and a hint of spiciness.

My favorite roll ever was filled with tempura fried sweet potato with cream cheese. Do you guys like your sushi crazy or more traditional?

Maru Doesn't Limit Himself to Boxes

(Video Link)

We all know how much Maru loves boxes and sliding across floors, but did you know he's also quite the climber? In fact, he can even go up a ladder as well as a professional roofer. I didn't even know cats could actually climb ladders -especially not this well.

To be honest, I'm not sure that he knew cats could climb ladders, which is why he seems to be doing it over and over just to make sure he can actually climb a ladder. Even so, he does seem a little hesitant about that top step though.

May The Family Be With You

I haven't heard much about the Akron Comic Con. Even so, I'm willing to bet this group, photographed by Thomas Zahler, is the best family costume from the entire convention. The stroller sort of reminds me of that Jungle Cruise stroller we saw back in July, only this time, the whole family got into the act with a proud Leia and Han showing off their adorable little ewok baby -hey, Leia loved the ewoks, there's no reason she wouldn't adopt one whose parents were killed during the battle of Endor. I wonder how Chewie feels about this arrangement though.

How to Make Your Own Sand Worm Costume

While the giant sandworms of Dune can stretch over 400 meters, you don't have to go quite that crazy to make a great sandworm costume. In fact, Instructables user canida has detailed all the steps you need to know to make your own great Dune cosplay. Unfortunately, you'll still have to create your own spice even if you harness a few of these worms.

If you aren't a big fan of Dune, you can even add some stripes and a few modifications to the mouth to make a Beetlejuicce sandworm instead.

Crush Your Sweet Tooth With This Candy Crush Cake

I know a lot of gamers who dislike Candy Crush because it is a mobile game rather than a PC or console game. But as a puzzle lover, I just can't get enough stripped, wrapped and sprinkle-covered candies.

As much time as I've been spending on the game, I think if someone presented me this cake for my birthday, I'd start trying to switch the candies around rather than slicing it open and eating a slice -especially since the sprinkled candy is just begging to smash all the blue candies on the board. I don't know who made this great cake, but it was uploaded to Twitter by Chris Martinez.

This Cat Wants to Know "What Is This Sorcery?"

(Video Link)

Balloons are a strange thing when you think about it -especially when they're filled with liquid. Look at this giant bowl of water balloons from a cat's perspective and it's easy to see why Khan the munchkin kitty just had to learn more about these weird jiggly balls. And when they pop, why that's yet another strange thing to discover.

I think I'd rather watch Khan play with water balloons than throw them at my friends -as a bonus, I don't get wet this way.

This Newly Discovered Monkey Has Babies That Purr

This little fluffy monkey was recently discovered in the Amazon back in 2010, but there's more than one reason to be excited about the discovery of this adorable endangered critter -that's because it has babies that purr like kittens. Caqueta titi monkey (Callicebus caquetensis) lives in Colombia and it is estimated that there are only around 250 of these animals in existence, so if you ever want to get to see purring monkey babies either in the wild or in the zoo, you'd better help by donating to conservation efforts immediately. Conservation International is a good source to support the monkeys, but there are plenty of other worthy groups out there as well.
