The Adorable Comics of Liz Climo

We've featured a few of Liz Climo's comics before because they're both funny and cute, but we've never actually talked about the artist herself. As it turns out, she not only makes adorable comics online, you can find them at Hey, I'm Liz, that you've probably seen here and there, you've also probably seen her work on television.

That's because when she's not writing web comics, Liz is working at her day job -animating on The Simpsons. In fact, Liz just did her cute animal drawings for fun and was shocked when she started developing a real following.

Of course, with creations this silly and cute, it's no wonder to us that her work has taken off the way it has.

30 Ways to Make Grilled Cheese

If your New Years Resolution is to enjoy more grilled cheese sandwiches (that's really a much better and more realistic goal than losing weight anyway), then the first place you should head is Momtastic, where you can learn how to make a new grilled cheese sandwich for every day of the month. These aren't just a matter of using cheddar instead of American either. These sandwiches are each vastly different than one another and the variety of flavors is rather impressive. Personally, I think I'd like to get started on the roasted strawberry, brie and chocolate one followed by the corned beef.

Of course, if your resolution is to lose weight, this list is also a perfect excuse to quit your resolution early.

The Real Life Doge

By now you've almost certainly seen the Doge pictures that make up one of the most popular memes of 2013 and even served as inspiration for a new virtual currency. But while most internet users are now familiar with Doge's face, they generally don't know anything about the real shiba inu in the photo.

The now legendary pup is eight year-old Kabosu, who was adopted by a kindergarten teacher in Japan when she heard that a puppy mill was closed down and that the puppies would be put down if they weren't adopted.

The teacher, Atsuko Sato, first posted the picture of Kabosu on her blog back in 2010 and it wasn't until Shiba Confessions posted the image on their blog in 2012 that the meme actually took off.

You can read the whole story of how this picture became such a popular meme over at The Verge.

This Dog Rescued His Dying Kitty Friend

Cats and dogs have a reputation for not getting along, but many of them are actually friends, in fact, some are even the best of friends. Recently, a dog rescued his best friend who was hit by a car.

While Stewart the cat was missing for over 24 hours, his family figured he was just out catting around, Toby the golden retriever knew something was wrong. He was pacing around and acting strange and then when he was let outside, he started barking at a bush in the back yard and wouldn't stop. His owners came out and looked in the bush and then discovered Stewart was laying in the bush injured after apparently being hit by a car. They immediately brought him to the vet where they found that his pelvis was seperated from his spine.

Stewart had his injuries mended and while he still can't wander around the house until he recovers all the way, Toby has been sitting outside the cage, rubbing noses with his friend, thankful he is ok.

The Mirrorcube Makes Leaving No Trace Luxurious

The Boy Scouts adhere to the idea of leaving no trace, but for those who like a little luxury in their life, camping is usually a no go because it's so darn uncomfortable. Now people can enjoy luxury and a reduced impact thanks to the Treehotel's Mirrorcube. This stunning treehouse has a mirror-lined wall, making it nearly invisible amidst the forrest wher it is located.

And don't worry about the birds accidentally crashing into this cool structure, it is covered with an infrared film that is impossible for humans to see, but enough to stop any flitty birds from flying into it.

You can read more about Sweden's truly unique Treehotel over at Homes and Hues, and if you like this, don't miss the glass toilet located in the middle of a garden or the Netherland's surreal Glass Barn.

Shrimp Scampi Dip

If you are a garlic lover who also happens to enjoy seafood, you almost certainly adore shrimp scampi. The butter, garlic and shrimp make for a heavenly trio of rich flavors your tongue just can't get enough of.

When you're looking for a new way to enjoy this taste sensation, this shrimp scampi dip by Closet Cooking is a great way to go. On top of the usual scampi ingredients, this masterpiece adds in cream cheese, sour cream, mozzerella and parmesean for an unfortgetably complex, savory treat your party guests won't be able to forget any time soon.

The Rocking Bench & Seat Make Hanging Out Fun Again

Chances are you had a rocking horse as a youngster and you probably loved it too. These days, you can always get a rocking chair, but they just aren't so fun and getting a rocking horse that can hold your weight would just be silly. Instead, just talk to designers Lanzavecchia and Wai so you can get the Rocking Bench or Seat into your home.

This fun furniture featured on Home & Hues operates like either a standard rocking horse or a seesaw if you get the two-seated model. Best of all, their chic, minimalist design actually looks fantastic so you don't have to feel like a weirdo having a giant rocking horse in your house.

Star Wars Terrarium Jewelry

Terrarium crafts are fun to make and they look fantastic, but usually you can just leave them on a countertop or hang them on your wall. But thanks to Etsy seller ThehouseofBoo, now you can actually wear terrarium crafts wherever you go.

Even better, these great pieces of jewelry features characters and icons from Star Wars so your jewelry can be geeky and fashionable all at once. You can even be on the Dark Side or the Light with Luke, Han, Darth, Stormtroopers and more. They also sell adorable little plush toys inspired by the sci fi classic as well.

Buffalo Chicken Beer Cheese Dip

If there's one thing The Beeroness knows, it's how to make heavenly food with beer -like chocolate stout cheesecake fudgesicles and chocolate beer biscotti.

As football season playoffs start to get underway, beer is an even better snack staple and if you really want to have something that screams football, it's hard to beat this fantastic-looking buffalo chicken beer cheese dip with all the flavors of buffalo wings combined with delicious beer and cheese. Of course, even if you don't know the difference between a touchdown and a hand off, this stuff still looks and sounds delightful.

The Cutest Stories of 2013

There are a lot of fun 2013 end-of-year stories floating around right now, but if your interest remains solely with cute critters, then you'll want to check out Today's list of the top cute moments of the year. You can even vote for your favorite cute story.

Right now the top voted story is the tale of a Kentucky K-9 officer whose human partner died, and he rested his paw on the coffin of his fallen partner. Personally though, I'm a sucker for the orphaned horse who found comfort with a teddy bear at a local sanctuary.
