Cleopatra's contemporaries never considered physically stunning. It was her intelligence and charisma that drew people in. However "bad" this reconstruction is or isn't, I thought she would have turned out far more unattractive.

Who cares if a gift is wrapped badly, really? I know I don't. I just appreciate that someone took the time to think of me and get a gift at all.

Either way, if you are going to pay someone to wrap it badly, you are better off doing it yourself anyway.

Though it's far from my favorite version, as a fan of both Bing and David, I have no choice but to like it, especially since they are doing the only tolerable Christmas song this atheist can handle.

Interesting post! I do find it funny that people actually expect these shows to be so close to reality. Watching the Crime Investigation channel for a few hours should cure people of many misconceptions surrounding police procedure, DNA, etc...

I love bacon. I could eat bacon every day if it didn't mean that my backside would grow sideways. However, this obsession with infusing bacon into everything from clothing to bath salts is tiring.

I can see where one, really unusual button ring would be a great accessory for a party outfit. And it would have to be REALLY special. But for the most part, they are ugly, best suited for little girls playing dress up, and one is understandable, but who needs six? At that price, you can buy a lot of cool sterling silver and have better accessories anyway.

In the end, children should be learning the skills they need to go out in the world and make something of themselves, rather than having to live on a dollar a day. Morality and how to use all that money that they have the potential to make is not the business of the school, but of the parent who raises them. No one needs some hippie teacher pushing an agenda that essentially breeds a sense of guilt for wanting or having a comfortable lifestyle, especially when those same hippies are cheating when they attempt to prove a point, as this smug, attention seeking pair have done.

I'm with Alex, personally, though I recognize that some people want to hang onto things that they were taught and I feel the teacher was out of line simply because they are not her kids to mess up. Just as religion has no place in public schools, neither does someone deciding what kids should or shouldn't know about religion/Santa/the fairies. None of it belongs.

I am still undecided on whether firing the teacher was right or not, but at the same time, kids these days are treated like little hot house flowers, which is why this made me laugh.

I don't know that I ever believed in Santa. I pretended to for my mother's sake.

What is this family doing watching TV on Christmas when they should be spending time together, or at the very least, getting drunk? I'm an atheist whose only interest in Christmas is family, food, and alcohol, but even I know to keep it about that, and not sit numbly in front of the TV ignoring everyone.

At the very least, "grandma", the best seat in the house is hers, not only because it's her house, but because she's the eldest.

Strange.
