Awesome! This would make a great screensaver; just put it in a loop and let it run.

This is the stuff that keeps me coming back to Neatorama. See how much fun you can have without all the political BS? Thanks for keeping it clean Adam.

Wow. I don't even know what to say about the comments here. What is it that brings out the hate when topics like this come up? The Judeo/Christian connection?

Why is the miraculous so hard for some to believe? After all, Darwin's miracle of evolution is so easy for the world of "science" to believe; is that no less extraordinary than an angelic healing?

Shameful. Hard to understand the people who so callously laughed off the death of that man and had the gall to complain about the delay in their shopping.

But in a way it's very understandable, and not just limited to the US. I saw similar feeding frenzies while visiting Africa, among little kids no less. They nearly trampled me and other kids trying to get candy. Greed does awful things to people, no matter where they are.

A number of years ago my wife & I were driving through rural Iowa, and drove by an old upright piano sitting on the shoulder of the highway. It looked like it had fallen off the back of a truck; much of the wood was torn up & broken, and small parts were lying all over. I don't think it was still in tune.

That's hilarious! I wonder if the cat's tail could end up under the Roomba; true hilarity would certainly ensue.

That reminds me of a time I was helping my Dad split some wood on his acreage. He had an electric fence set up to allow the horses to graze an area of the yard, and one of us put a log next to one of the electric fence posts. One of the younger & tamer barn cats came out to see what we were doing, and hopped up on the log. Next thing we knew he was batting at the post, working his way up. He finally got to the wire and laid a paw across it, then POW! got the shock of his life. He jumped three feet in the air and took off like a shot back to the barn. For the cat lovers out there, he was not hurt at all. The fencer gives a good jolt, but at a low enough amperage that it only gave him a good scare.

I'm with you, Alex. I refuse to order "venti" or "grande" or whatever else they call their drinks. It's small, medium or large; if the Starbuck behind the counter doesn't understand that, there are plenty of other places to spend too much on coffee.

Can't say I've ever been on Route 66, but my home state of SD has a similar cross-state route that was supplanted by the interstate highway system. I avoid I-90 whenever possible; the drive is far more interesting on the old 2-lane roads... It takes a while longer, but I always say there's more to a vacation than your destination; getting there is half the fun.

Earlier this year an Army vet made a cross-country trip, blogging about the things he saw along the way. At the outset he said he was going to avoid the interstate highways as much as possible, but when he got to SD, he hopped on I-90 and hit the cruise control. Then had the nerve to complain about the boring drive. Knucklehead.

Little known fact; many of the small towns across the midwest were built around the old railroad maintenance stations. The stations were generally 10-20 miles apart because that was as far as a steam locomotive could go before needing water or fuel. Many of today's "secondary" highways (yesterday's primary roads) were built along those rail lines. Driving secondary roads through the midwest today is kinda nice, especially with small kids; you're never more than 10 minutes from a place to stop.

Last time my name was on that list was when things were *really* slow at work. Times have been good lately.

As for the site redesign, i noticed over the weekend things were looking much cleaner and loading faster. When I visit the site it's usually with my trusty G4 PowerBook, and a busy site will cause the processor to go a little wild, eating into my battery life.

Nice work, Alex!
