I think this really should really emphasize to parents how important their support and encouragement is.
From the article: "Let's say a Latino student is studying and an Asian student is studying," Martinez said. "The Latino parent will often say, 'Hey, come help me out real quick, then you can go back to your studying.' Where the Asian parent will say, 'Oh, you're doing your homework. OK, you finish, and then after you're done, you come help me.' "
Okay guys, 1/8" is not very long. Even 1/4" isn't that bad. The draconian nails you are imagining when you refer to aging fashionistas and other tawdry women are at least 3/4" or longer.
Now I'm not agreeing that it's misogynistic, and I don't like how women think everything is sexist, and minorities think everything is racist, etc etc.
But why shouldn't a stylus work? If I paid $500 for some stupid phone, I should think it would accommodate styluses. Or is that styli?
Very interesting. I'm going to have to start reading that news service. From the comments I've read, it seems like al-Jazeera is a far cry from terrorists. Therefore, what are we objecting to? Someone (gasp) suggesting America isn't perfect? News from the point of view people we love to hate?
Eh, kinda neat, but the very fact that he is a "fetal surgeon" implies that he does this thing with decent regularity. This one particular surgery just happened to be fed to the media.
