Geez, people. Take a pill. If you want it converted into metric, do it yourself! The original article (from Britain) uses inches. Neatorama just posted it as it was written.
@Ronnie: Birth size may mean little, but this kid is still huge! I don't think he's going to "grow out of it".
I saw a better picture on another site, and it's not a man. It's just a couple of parents who are in denial about an obvious medical condition and who want their son to be "special".
If it was a book on how the doctor is going to fix mommy's congenital deformity or the damage done from an accident, that's another story. This is just stupid.
What's next? A book called "Why Are Mommy's Teeth Blindingly White?" Or how about "Mommies Dye Their Hair So Daddies Will Still Love Them"? What kind of message do we want to send to children?
I've also heard that toxoplasmosis infections can lead to schizophrenia. But there's no money to be made in getting rid of the family cat. Not like pre-natal flu vaccines...
All right, someguy. But you must know that the age of puberty is decreasing. There have been cases of children under 8 going through puberty... and having babies. Does that make it okay? If the age of puberty one day goes down to 5, will that make child marriage more acceptable?

I hope not.
