Congratulations to them! And what a lucky little girl. She's going to have parents who actually wanted her enough to brave all of this flack. And she'll probably be raised in a lot more tolerant and understanding environment than so many of the people who have commented on this thread.
Isn't it obvious that this "man" isn't a man at all but a woman. The birth is kind of a giveaway. The title of this story should be "woman gives birth."
Define "strong enough". You're not actually supposed to strip the skin off your hands every time you wash them, you know.
The diluted foam is probably just as strong as using a bar of soap and water. Unless you like to lather up until your hands are buried in four-inch-thick suds.
On the one hand, it's just one vote. On the other hand, it could open up the door for foreigners to have a say in American politics. And you wouldn't want THAT.
I don't think it was justified. If he'd gone after a couple of child rapists or kidnappers, he'd have more of an argument. As it is, he killed two men over someone else's property. They didn't break into his house or threaten his life. But hey, they were illegal immigrants. So who cares, right?
I wonder how long it will be before this law starts to claim truly innocent victims: the kid sneaking home after curfew... the friends planning a surprise party... the sleepwalking spouse. I'm sure Joe Horn would've blown them all away without a second thought... and then tried to claim he'd felt threatened and therefore justified.
I'm creeped out by photos and thinking about clowns - I'm extremely uneasy with them within eye sight and 100+ yards away - I'm heading for the exit if they are within 100 yards or closer. I don't have the displeasure of coming in contact with them, as I hate the circus (animal exploitation and all that) so I don't see them in person.
I don't think clowns are evil - they are just regular people trying to entertain. I can respect that. The common theory about the inability to judge expression is my reason. I watched Bozo on TV and was OK with him, he was pretty straight forward, always smiling within the painted smile and moved pretty slowly/consistently. But clown in real life move around quickly are always popping in here and there, trying to physically touch you to draw you in and they are not always smiling, but that big painted on smiles seems like a trick. On a pure instinctive level, it's alarming! I really don't know what I'll do if one gets too close to me without me knowing and starts all that grabbing/goosing crap - he/she might be going down. But I can usually move out of the area, not make eye contact and clear out. Nobody knows and I want to keep it that way. I hope I'm never forced into an up-close encounter with a clown. BUT!!!! I have to confess that I do LOVE seeing a group of clowns doing the whole pile out of the tiny car thing and clown around with each other on the brightly colored costumes/wigs, etc. BUT!!!! They are faaaaar away, waaaay down there somewhere and I can't see their faces. Again, I appreciate what they are trying to bring to the world, but they creep me the #$%@! out...
Compact cars may be less crumple resistant, but who wants to fill up the tank of an SUV with current gas prices? You fill up the car or you feed the kids. I guess some people figure a little more danger in one area is worth the trade-off.
If you really don't feel comfortable in a small vehicle, you can always take the bus.
"Being homeless in the world’s largest economy is the ultimate form of stupidity, mental illness, and personal irresponsibility rolled all into one."
If this was being graded, you'd get a 33%. Fail. Homeless people aren't stupid. And it doesn't necessarily have to do with being irresponsible. Mental illness is a HUGE component, but it's unfortunately overlooked by so many people (including many on this thread). It's REAL, people. Just like any other disease. Nobody would dream of telling someone they were stupid, irresponsible, and homeless because they had cancer or a physical birth defect. So why is it all right to say that about people with mental illnesses?
I guess the University of Minnesota doesn't have very high entrance requirements. :)

But I'm surprised nobody bid on it, either.
