Seriously, why can't they just use one of their four weeks for lovin'? Why doesn't the government just promote the idea of a love vacation and let them decide what to do with their time? Yes, I'm jealous :)
This is ugly, but it is a better idea than what I am currently doing, which is walking around letting my actual socks pick it up. Thick socks are unreasonably good at this. (Of course, sweeping is just as effective, ime....)
No, it's a BEAR trap. See, it confuses the bears because they think it's just, like, a fellow bear's hand sticking out of the ground, and when they try to pull it out it snaps shut and they get caught! It's sad, really.
That's what I learned from watching tv! If you get stabbed with something, and you can still walk around, do not touch it! It's always when someone yanks it out that stuff starts gushing or spraying!
OMG I cannot wait. My girlfriend does the Chronicle and NYT crosswords all the time and I am always hanging over her shoulder bitching about how far they had to go to make something a clue, or how I don't think they should allow phrases to be clues, or....
This is so silly. Everything goes through cycles. And I wouldn't say that 70% of whoever has cooked spag bol or curry... I bet they've cooked some nonsensical Briticized version. And that at least half of them made it from a can.
I love daylight savings time because it's lighter later. Or "later." Or whatever. I think we should just permanently change it. Why even switch it back, if it's all just made-up hours anyway and it has no real effect on energy use?
Man, I need to click through, because I can't tell what makes this a knork at all. It seems like it would be dangerous to make the handle sharp, but the tines would be even worse!
That was a lot harder than I thought it would be! I don't know what is supposed to happen when i find something that I think is a gnome... either I found none, or I don't know what to do when I find one!
Whatever it does to social skills and such, something does need to be done about teacher bias, not just around gender but around race and other issues too. There have been plenty of studies that show that they tend to assume boys and african-american and latino kids are "troublemakers" with far less reason for doing so than other kids, that they tend to call on girls less and ask them easier or more "soft science" questions, etc., which then gives kids clear messages about how they are supposed to behave, which then encourages the teachers' stereotypes....
That's funny cause I'm from Northern California and I thought the California accent was dead on too! It was a little eerie to hear my own accent coming out of her mouth. And to find out that Seattle has a different accent! I think the Seattle one was how I THOUGHT we were all talking. Weird!!
The gnome was also really freaking adorable.
