I can't speak for every other guy out there, but I love bacon because it's crispy meat. You really don't get that anywhere else, unless you count fried chicken.
BTW, for people trying to correlate this with politics, CO is traditionally a Republican stronghold. It's only gone liberal in the last few years with the influx of those crunchy hippies from CA.
The best hot dog I have ever had was at a little deli place near a train station a little ways outside Athens. It was a footlong with a snappy casing, wrapped in some grilled pita with potato salad, fries, lettuce and tzatziki sauce. I pine for that dog.
I never cease to be amazed at the sheer volume of people that don't understand gas is an inelastic commodity. The only way to make these things all happen would be an actual oil embargo, like OPEC did in the 70's, when people are physically barred from buying this daily necessity. Anything short of that will only result in more profits for oil refiners and shippers.
I support anything that draws all of the homeless people to California. Then we can just set off a massive earthquake on the San Andreas, splinter CA into the Pacific, and they'll be trapped with the consequences of their 'good intentions'. It'll be like Australia, except with homeless people and illegal aliens instead of criminals.
If they started 17 years ago, that was around the time the Soviet Union officially disbanded. The article doesn't so much as mention Communism, but there are at least a few former Soviet countries that are happier now (Georgia, Czech Republic, Lithuania).
Technically, we lost that war to England, since Canada wasn't independent then. But I will say the Canuckistani Navy was a great help in WWII.
