That's one of the most retarded 'experiments' I've ever heard of. Multiplying bacteria don't just increase your risk of getting infected by them while they're alive, many kinds also leave behind different poisonous compounds as a byproduct of digestion.

The original reason for super-baggy pants is to more easily conceal drugs and weapons, and aid in shop-lifting. I think it caught on outside the ghetto because a bunch of fat white people saw rappers doing it and thought, "Hey, that looks comfortable... and will hide my rolls of fat!"

Well, I never thought feces was funny in the first place. I also have never seen a bottle of wine for $5.00, so I guess that's an English thing. And if I fed my dog sharkbait, she'd develop a taste for blood. However, I will agree heartily about the regular sleeping habits and moderated drinking.

For those of you trying to defend telemarketers - what they do is by and large illegal in most parts of the US. When they invade our privacy at home, we have every right to f*ck with their heads, because there is no other way to take action against their companies. They often have untraceable phone numbers and fake addresses, otherwise the police or BBB would have cracked down on them already. No matter how desperate you may think they are, they can always flip burgers or work as janitors.

matt -

You must not know many vegans. Most of the ones I know or have met believe they can actually save money on food by not buying animal products.

I keep waiting for the headlines when they pull a stupid stunt like that in front of some on duty cops or FBI agents. It could easily be confused for some sort of terrorist attack.

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewsky (the narrative style of the book makes it possible to actually browse back and forth if you don't feel like reading straight through)

Resource Wars by Michael T. Klare - an objective look at the likely causes of wars in the 21st century, written before 9/11 or the global warming cult started dominating politics.

Skinny Legs and All by Tom Robbins - an odd romance story about religious fanaticism, war in Israel, and modern art
