Some of the 'worst of' 'winners' are downright scary; some (like ugliest residents) are just a stretch to find something to tag them with. Looking at all the violence against women out on the plains and bestiality (gag) and a few others- I'm not so worried about my home state being the 'least green'. That's pretty subjective anyway... ;)

The smell must have been... stomach turning. Mine heaved from afar just reading this. I'm so glad I didn't end up shoved up against him on some form of public transportation. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I've been in close quarters with fellow researchers of his in the past.

Whoever funded the research, I believe it. For one thing- think of what happens to a lot of the paper bills, for instance, in strip bars. And think of the number of people who, in spite of having been educated and looking decent- don't wash their hands after using the toilet. And then- people sneeze and cover with their hand. They just don't wash their hands enough.

I was also taught 2 spaces after a period in typing in high school but at some point in time after that, as we were using word processors more, was told that, as others have mentioned, that 1 space is the new proper thing to do. I like it a lot better- a whole lot faster to type! ;)

When it said the antennae curved back the entire length of the bug's body, I realized what it was... and nearly tossed my cookies. There is something so (shudder) about a cockroach!
