I just want to point out that as far as "sexist" careers - I grew up with a feminist mother who felt very strongly that things like nursing and teaching were unfit for a strong, modern woman. It took me years to finally admit to myself that not only did I want to be a teacher, but that it is okay for a woman to be one. Not only that, but I make an awesome teacher and I'm very happy doing it.
Seeing as how she knew about two major disasters in which both resulted in high loss of life and severe property destruction, but failed to warn anyone before - I think she should be brought up on charges. It really should be considered under the Good Samaritan laws.
San Diego had a dive bar for years called Zombie Lounge. It's now, sadly, closed. What's opened in its place is called the Soda Louge, or Soda Bar. Looks like a boring place to hang out now.
Those apples may not taste very good - apples are pretty unique in that every seed produces a whole new variety of apple. Not many are very pleasant on the palate.
As a teacher I have to agree. Your kid isn't special. It's just a fact - there a few winners, a whole lot of losers and the rest are just average. Don't delude yourself into thinking that your little reproduction is the greatest gift to the world - because frankly, you just gave an already overcrowded world another mouth to feed. So teach your child to respect others, give them firm and fair boundaries and lead them by example.
Otherwise, I will give you a damn good dressing down if your rude children interrupt my night at the movies, my meal at a restaurant, flight or wherever the venue might be.
Besides, there's always a reason to bring someone back from the dead - like True Love or MLT's.
If you admit that art should be open to criticism, then you shouldn't attempt to censor or shame that which you do not agree with.
