Unlike the hamster shredder this is TERRIFIC! I never would have thought this was possible and yet it's a very simple idea. Any idea on how cold it needs to get? The site only had pictures. I will have to get a bottle off bubble making liquid, or whatever the official name is. That will serve as a reminder to try it. It doesn't get extremely cold in ChooChooTown but I would love to
see this! Thanks Miss C!

Ummmm, I'm a true blue geek of the first order. This however is really bad.
1. If you cannot get the hamster to exercise you can't get your item shredded. Could be a really dicey situation if the bad guys are breaking down your door.
2. So now instead of a shredder that works as expected for very little electricity you can have a shredder that works sporadically AND smells bad!
Now if someone could come up with a way to make the hamster eat the paper that would be really NEAT.
Slow as blazes but still neat. I think Tom needs to build a better mousetrap. Or at least a better shredder.

Hime - Good point but if you had no shoes they would be quite an improvement.
SM - Lots of good books from the 40's. That was just a guess based on my knowing that a lot of great movies were made in the 40's.

Least he could do is come up with something original.

Skipweasel "Soon to be renamed the Imelda Marcos Parkway." There's goes my thunder. GGGG
SenorMysterioso "... or the Hardy boys."
You are an old one. Funny but old. GGGGG
Corinne ".. they give them to needy people, ..."
I'm with you. Send them up North where it's really cold. Who needs shoes where it never get's below 75?
FWIW I don't think it was a protest or prank. Imagine how long it would take to collect that many used shoes.
That's a lot of leather! I think they fell off a truck probably being driven by an illegal alien that didn't want to stick around.

chris - Other than that how'd you like it? Do you pick every joke apart like that? Jokes aren't meant to be accurate they are simply meant to be funny. It's really a very simple concept. BTW it's Frankfurt.
liphttam1 - The BA pilot was saying he had been there on two bombing runs during WWII. That's why he didn't land.

AndiB - "I don’t think this is very funny, as I don’t think jokes about “911? are particularly funny…"
Since I posted the jokes on the Neatorama forum I don't remember seeing any that had a thing to do with 911. Methinks you need to lighten up some. That and learn how to make valid complaints. I don't know where you are but I have never heard a single joke about 911.
SoFar - Nice to know some people are paying attention.
Pan Am went out of business over 17 years ago.
Paul in Boca - "Plus, AndiB. is correct." Try not reading something into it that is not there. 911 was not mentioned any where.

Frau - Think I'll stick with the Butterfingers. Those things have coconut and peanuts in them. Doesn't sound anything like Butterfingers.

Mr. Binky "Oh, and it’s not really stealing the oil, because the restaurants have no use for it at that point. They’re happy to get rid of it."
Yes they are glad to get rid of it, in fact they pay people to haul it off. Call me old fashioned but taking something that doesn't belong to you is stealing.

Stacy - "Neatoramanaut" huh? Is that anything like a swabbie? Anywho a tip o' the hat to you nice lady.
TJwtM - I liked Necco wafers, all except for the licorice ones. Luckily my beagle would eat them. GGG
Them and licorice jelly beans.
Frau - I like Butterfingers. I guess the original ones.
Didn't know they were changed.
Another thing is Mallomars but it's more a cookie than a candy. Is funny, I could eat them just fine but won't be caught dead with a Moon Pie which the web says has the same ingredients.

"Sure, let’s have more people be able to own guns so these kinds of exchanges turn violent. Too many stupid people doing too many stupid things was written above. How true, except too many stupid people own guns in this country!"
They'll always be outnumbered by those that make stupid comments like that.

This is a joke, right? Then again it is from CA, the land of fruits and nuts. I read something a long time ago of people stealing used cooking oil from restaurants storage tanks. They use it in their cars that can run off the stuff.

Is he Israeli?"
What does this have to do with his accomplishment?
There's also a U.S. flag so perhaps he's American?
Or maybe he's 1/2 American and 1/2 Israeli? Then there's a third flag that may be from El Salvador.
Hmmmm, that muddies the issue even more. Lastly there is a fourth flag with no visible markings. Wow, perhaps we need to get to the bottom of this.
Courageous Grace/CheeseDuck/The Other Parker/Lenny Nero/Oliver/Jenny - Don't be so jealous.
I find it rather sad that among 16 comments only THREE were complementary without equivocation. The large majority of the others were either full of jealousy or sour grapes or other negative comments.
gailW & CrypticJ & Nathan Miller are obviously comfortable enough in their own skin to give credit where it is due. A tip of the hat to all of you.
Oh yeah, to this young man I say simply Bravo, Well Done. Make it 4 out of 17.
