Barbie may be terrible anatomically, but I just have to say that at least they're not Bratz dolls. There is so much worse in Bratz dolls, and some of the other ones out there these days.
Still, my parents hated them (which wasn't a bad thing), so when I got one for a birthday present one year, they told me she was a very smart nuclear engineer that had a disfiguring accident with something...I can't remember exactly what her back story was, but it was fascinating.

Well, as one of the first members of "Can this Onion Ring get More fans than Justin Bieber?", I'm proud to announce that we more than beat that 12-year-old prat! We're now going after Britney Spears' fan record, which isn't too far off. It's just a shame that we can't change the group name.

I guarantee that the prion for mad cow disease is nowhere even close to Lactococcus :P Humans are more closely related to red algae than prions are related to um...anything. Prions are really effed up proteins that somehow have managed to propagate themselves.

Reminds me a lot like Kobe beef...special diet, specially raised, except this stuff is aged and kobe is delicious straight off the cow :P
It sounds good, though...I almost wish I could eat ham just to try it!

UVB-76 creeps me out a lot more than the other ones, even though it's the lowest on the list. I don't know why...probably because there's something innately terrifying about the USSR's secret operationis.

Yeah, it's really too lighthearted...I mean, I can see jokes lightening things, but cult leaders are evil shit

Thanks to History International and Investigation Discovery, I've heard of all of these crazy dudes besides William Kamm...never seen anything about them on normal cable and not much online, either.
Jeffrey Lundgren is terrifying. as bad as Manson in terms of devotees, but he didn't kill nearly as famous people. And didn't write on the wall with their blood. But still scary.

I don't know...at my school, almost no one uses a computer to take notes in class. At least in my major. We have a lot of diagrams to draw some days, and on a computer that would just be a pain. If tablet computers became more mainstream, I can see people using them instead of a notebook.
Also, I remember so much better when I write than when I type. The vast majority of our exams are on paper, so there's also some semblance of muscle memory going on when I re-write my notes before I'm tested.
I don't like cursive at all, and even though I tried to use it for years, my printing is far quicker than my cursive.

*The photographs from the book Being Born are now in the book "A Child is Born". It has a new author, and has new information in it. From what I can see, it's not meant for children so much as YA audiences.

I remember The House That Crack Built! I think I first read it near the end of middle school, but it was available to the elementary schoolers in the adjacent school. Interesting book, especially given that my middle school was in a bad neighborhood.
When I was a baby/toddler, my parents got a book called "Being Born" by Sheila Kitzinger. It was about how a baby is formed and how it grows in the womb, and has some stunning photography. At the end there are some very graphic pictures of a vaginal delivery, which no doubt would keep it out of many school libraries.

I'm glad I'm still in school. Free B&W printing ftw! I may get a B&W printer for my home, but I am SO not into printers that demand colour ink just to print a word document!

There's a CORRELATION between being born prematurely and being a felon. Does that mean that being born prematurely CAUSES people to develop felonious behaviors? Not in the least. Same with this.
Tattoos are so commonplace these days that it's hard to prove that they cause anything. Personally, I have one tattoo, one that is very symbolic to me and reminds me of my faith and my heritage. Am I a deviant? Naw, I'm a very shy and reserved person most of the time.
