Say "Hello" to the World's Most Photographed Tarantula

Pandora is a tarantula. She is also a model. Those two factors aren't coincidence. Pandora's owner was once afraid of spiders but eventually not only overcame her fear, but also came to love the creatures and adopt dozens of them as pets.

In an effort to get others to overcome their fear of spiders and hopefully come to love the creatures, she started taking pictures of her pets. She soon discovered that Pandora was a perfect model and in the process started posting delightful photos of her baby on Facebook and Tumblr.

Of course, if you're terrified of spiders, it's hard to say if some of her horror-themed shoots will really help, but at least they'll let you see the creatures in an entirely new light.

Everyone Needs A Hair Octopus

John has previously shown us what happens when we turn hair into horses, but what happens when you top it with an octopus? Amazingness. Yes, that's right. Amazingness is what happens when you top your hair with a fancy fancinator that looks like hair that is shaped just like an octopus. That sounds confusing. Just look at the pictures on DeviantArt and know you can get them on Etsy.

Dogs Look Surprisingly Beautiful With Hair Buns

As someone with hair down to her waist, I pretty much live with my hair in a bun. That being said, I don't think I could ever even begin to compete with the gorgeous hairstyles on these precious pups -particularly that one up at the top there who could easily be a model for the perfect donut bun.

13 Animals Grumpier Than Grumpy Cat

Some animals, like the Quokkas and red pandas, couldn't look grumpy if they tried. While we love them for making us smile, sometimes you need a Grumpy Cat to remind you that everyone has bad days and only idiots smile all the time. Of course, when you're really having a bad day, just one grumpy cat still isn't enough.

That's where this great article from the San Diego Zoo comes in -giving you even more grumpy critters to make your frown into more of a scowling smirk. Granted, some of these animals might not actually look quite as grumpy as the legendary Grumpy Cat herself, but they're still in a bad enough mood to make me feel better.

Tattooed Senior Citizens Show What Happens As Tattoos Age

The people who hate tattoos are frequently heard asking those with ink, "but what will it look like when you're older?" It's a smug argument that hopes to illicit worry from body art fans who worry about their looks. Thanks to Hefty though, tattoo fans can finally answer that question with an equally smug "hopefully as good as these senior citizen's ink."

Indeed, all 16 of the senior citizens featured in the article have wonderful body art that seems no less impressive despite their aged skin. Of course, I'm sure your results may vary based on how well you take care of your skin, but that's the case with or without tattoos.

The Ultimate Mod Skyrim Game

(Video Link)

A few years back, I wrote a Neatorama article featuring some of the weirdest and coolest video game mods out there. Many of the best mods were on Skyrim, which continues to be one of the best selling (and most epic) games of all time, but at the time, it seemed unlikely that anyone would be mad enoug to combine all of these outrageous mods to make Skyrim into an outrageous and hilarious world of mayhem. This video shows what happens when someone does just that. Be prepared for Thomas the Tank, Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Master Cheif, Sonic the Hedgehog and more madness.

Warning: Language is definately NSFW, but the commentary is utterly hilarious, so leave it on if you can get away with listening to that many curse words.

This Lost Cat Traveled Across America Before Being Returned Home

(Video Link)

Kevin is an orange tabby that disappeared from his South Carolina home back in 2013. What makes Kevin different from the hundreds of other kitties that go missing isn't just that he was found two years later, but also that he was discovered on the California/Arizona border.

Somehow this frisky feline managed to travel most of the country before hiding in a truck trailer that was subject to a food and agriculture check on the state border. The inspector at the border asked the driver to open his trailer and only then were Kevin's muffled meows heard.

Two non-profit agencies have pitched in to help send Kevin back home to Southern Carolina where his shocked owner is happy to have him back after thinking she'd never see him again.

Behold the Power of the Beef-Stuffed Onion Ring

Onion rings are a fine accompaniment to a good burger, but you know what's better? Having a burger stuffed inside an oversized onion ring. As if wrapping your burger in an onion before battering it and deep frying it wasn't fattening enough, the creator, Tym Bussanich, even wrapped the burger patty in bacon before adding the onion ring. The mad food scientist even has other creations like a burger using an onion ring bun and chili-stuffed onion rings on his Instagram so fatty food addicts will want to start following him ASAP.

10 Popular Foods That Are Surprisingly Dangerous

(Video Link)

What do cashews, potatoes, tomatoes, apples, almonds, cherries and mushrooms have in common? They're all surprizingly dangerous. Sure, if you eat the ones sold in your local grocery store, you'll be fine, but parts of all of these plants contain dangerous chemicals that could actually kill you. For example, cherry pits and raw almonds both contain deadly cyanide. Learn the full details from the video or visit TopTenz for a text version.

These Animals Are Just A Bunch of Lazy Bums

There's something to be said about being clever, but the freeloaders featured on this Awkward Family Photos are just taking things a bit too far.

I mean, come on critters, you were born with legs for a reason. Is it really asking that much for you to walk, swim or fly on your own?

I guess it just goes to show that humans aren't the only species who have a lazy streak, so maybe we should cut our low-energy friends a little slack -after all, they're just acting natural.

Ten Cool Facts That Might Make You Want to Visit Antarctica

No, this isn't a picture of some kind of horrible environmental disaster, nor is it Photoshop. In fact, this photo of a "bloodfall" portrays Antarctica in its pristine, natural state. It's a result of a water source low in oxygen and high in iron that has a whole colony of microbes that survive on the iron and sulfur in the water.

Antarctica is also a great place to look for meteorites as they don't get covered with dirt or mixed in with other rocks -and, best of all, they contrast with the ice cover on the world's coldest continent.

Are your interests in Antarctica peaked? If so, you won't want to miss this cool article on TopTenz featuring 10 cool bits of trivia about Antarctica

Finally Salad Looks Fun to Eat

Salads are good for you, but they are rarely fun and exciting. But thanks to the modern miracle of 3D printers, that may very well change soon. That's Nerdalicious reports that Food Designer Chloé Rutzerveld created these clever 3D printed crackers that have living organisms inside the pod, such as seeds, spores and yeast on the inside. These organisms sprout and grow a living, miniature salad within three to four days of the printing.

It could still be a decade before these make their way to your dinner plates, but we're loving the idea of a salad hidden within the walls of a fresh cracker.

7 Cool Pieces of Tech You Can Use to Make Your Home More Green

The patern in the water pouring from the faucet pictured above looks too beautiful to be real, but it is all too real thanks to the use of two turbines in the spout. They not only make the water leaving the faucet look incredible, but they also reduce water usage by up to 15%.

Meanwhile, this programable thermostat doesn't just learn your patterns to minimize unneccessary energy usage, it also automatically shuts off when no one's home. You can even control it away from home with your smartphone.

These cool technologies are only two of the many items we rounded up for our newest Homes and Hues article: 7 Great Green Home Technologies

That's My Kind of Princess!

Now isn't she a pretty, pretty princess? I've seen tons of Barbie cakes, but never a kaiju princess like this one. And who wouldn't prefer a Japanese superbabe like this one? We'd better hope she gets a nice present or else this princess might just take down the city.
