Joggling is a term for jogging while juggling. Really. Perry Romanowski is a long-distance joggler who publishes training tips and stories about his quest to joggle 44 marathon races in his blog Just Your Average Joggler. Why?
I do it because I can and it makes people smile.

Hello we are the Radical Rodents, the coolest and hippest mice in the world. We are all mad keen surfers and as far as we know are the only rodents in the world that surf, which would make us the world's smallest surfers. Our names are Chopsticks, Bunsen, Harry & Curly and we have been surfing for over 3 years. We love living here up in sunny Queensland because we get to surf most of the year as the water is warm and the weather is mild. Also there are lots of stinking rich folk with massive boats that deliver the waves which we long to ride.

Randall Munroe at the wonderful blog xkcd took George Washington’s Farewell Address of 1796 and painstakingly translated each point into 21st century American English. He said the process was “fun, depressing, inspiring, and a little bit spooky.†The results are amazingly easy to read and understand. The advice Washington had for the nation is still valid today. Simple Simon read about the London flat for sale that was only 7’x11’. He took that as a design challenge. Can such a small space be made livable? His plans include a space-saving sleeping loft. My suggestion would be to combine the shower and toilet area, as they do in some Japanese hotels. Link

You’ve heard the phrase “like nailing jelly to the wall†to describe a difficult task. Graeme Cole decided to find out exactly how difficult it was to nail jelly (or Jello for Americans) to a wall. He chronicled his experiment step-by-step with pictures. Link -via the Presurfer
Update 2/8/07: MyScienceProject has more about nailing jell-o:
Our further investigation into this area leads us to state the following: Jell-O can be effectively nailed to a wall if you increase its density by reducing the proportion of water to gelatin in the recipe, or fortify it by adding more gelatin powder.Link - Thanks ebez1
Galileo said that objects will drop to the ground at the same speed, no matter their weight. A hammer and a feather should land at the same time. However, objects on earth are affected by air resistance, causing the feather to float around. In July 1971, Apollo 15 astronaut David Scott put Galileo’s theory of gravitational pull to the test on the moon. Push play or go to YouTube. Link to NASA page. -via Grow-A-Brain

Wordy is SO addicting once you get the hang of it! This game is a cross between Boggle and Tetris, or maybe a wordfind puzzle. As the letters drop, click on adjacent letters to spell a word. You can go in any and all directions, and even change direction, as long as the letters are next to each other. Then click again on the last letter. If that word (of at least three letters) is in their dictionary, the tiles will disappear. But you have to hurry! Link -via Transbuddha
