I knew this family, and the whole funeral was a celebration of life. I am glad that they could find some happiness and peace in this moment of darkness. They loved their son, and wanted to honor him. Good for them.

I met this kid and his father while standing in line at the Elmwood Arts Festival on Sunday, a few days before the car crash. Normally, people receive exaggerated praise at their funeral. But from the 10 minutes this boy was playing with my daughter who is 3 years younger, I totally believe everything they said about him. Vivacious, kind, funny, generous. 7 year olds normally don't have the time of day for tots, but he did.

@ Miss Cellania, This was a good post, all these downers and complainers are the type of people that are never satisfied, they are always just looking for something better or funnier. They can't even see any entertainment in a clip that only lasts 5 min, while not the funniest thing on the planet it was entertaining. These people probably find someone getting hit in the crotch by a ball, bat, golf club,or something to be the funniest thing.. And for you people spouting off stereotypes... ah never mind, not even going to waste my time, your to ignorant to learn anything anyways, anything I say isn't going to register in that pea sized brain rattling around inside your head. You know the old saying, can't teach a dumb dog tricks(Isn't that the saying?).

What a truly wonderful way to celebrate beginning a new life together and sharing that happiness with family and friends. There was pure joy on their faces, not only bride and groom, but even audience members! Go forth, young couple, and laugh with each other into old age.

No Miss C. You haven't lost touch. This was beautiful. Actually brought a tear to my eye.
Happy people with no doubt.
The rest of you snarky bastards need to grow the fuck up.

Smiling hugely, that was wonderful--you could feel the love. I've never seen a wedding (except on YouTube) where the participants broke out into a dance routine; maybe the weddings I go to are too staid and traditional. I'm going off to work on a rainy day with a lighter heart. Thank you!!! A2V

How wonderful. And if it has been done before or done better so what. To see a bunch of friends willing and eager to join together and dance - for their friend's marriage - WOW - that's love. All the more true for the "bad" dancers. Most of us would have chickened out instead of doing the funky chicken. BEAUTIFUL. AWESOME. A musical come to life. Made my day.

I think that was awesome! There was nothing douchebaggy or lame about it. Who cares if they are not professional dancers, they are celebrating and having FUN! Maybe some of you need to get away from your computers and go LIVE a little instead of snarking on the interwebs.

Congradulations to the newlyweds, I think it was awesome! Kinda makes me feel like they are going to put the same effort into there marriage. God Bless!

Wow, check out the snarky bastards on this thread. That was such an exuberant, celebratory time they were all clearly having. What does it feel like to experience only sourness when you witness friendship and joy?

WIN! I am so so so lucky enough to have the original "I want to be leaf" LOL cats. What is SUPER AWESOME is that I am now IN Africa, Namibia to be precise, and 50 of my tree seedlings that I have been growing for Africa just got here in the mail. 10 have been given to a charity today, 10 have been given to an organic farmer and the rest will be planted all over Namibia. Tomorrow, I drive up to Rundu to deliver computers to kids in an outlying high school and plant more trees. What trees? Baobab trees. The biggest and most amazing African trees that exist. Seeing the "I want to be leaf" LOL Cats at the head of this article reminds me just how lucky I am. Email me if anyone wants photos of the kids at the school. - ZavPublic (-at) mac (-dot-) com
