Is it a coincidence that Karina Longworth's excellent podcast, You Must Remember This, is doing a series on Boris and Bela? My favorite tidbit from the latest episode is that Karloff formed the Screen Actor's Guild in response to his treatment during the filming of Frankenstein.
I loved "The Creature from the Black Lagoon", and I even auditioned for "The Creature Walks Among Us" and was cast in a small role, but I took a role in "Belly Dancers from Bali Bali" instead.

So very true. You would think that watching it in the comfort of your own living room would lessen the fright factor but it did not. I can still remember holding my pee in until after the movie was over because the bathroom was upstairs...in the dark. No way, Jose'!!! I'd rather suffer.
