Oh good Lord. My Dad listened to Spike Jones and Mitch Miller. I grew up in a VW van. I was extremely rebellious, but I cannot tell Brian Johnson from Bon Scott except for the fact that I have the year of each AC/DC song release memorized.
I listen to the music that our readers' parents listen to. And I don't even have an iPod!
Since y'all asked, I read up on Tudor and his methods. He developed a method for cutting uniform ice blocks that could be stacked closely together. And he experimented with insulating materials to protect his ice, and built buildings made of these materials. No doubt they were used in shipments as well. I'm sure he still lost some on the way.
Yeah, it all depends on the job. Science and engineering resumes probably wouldn't be appealing to the general public enough for us to post as something "neat", but graphic arts and web design resumes are worth a look even to outsiders.
If I ever have to put another resume together (God forbid), it would probably be just an email full of links.
He liked seafood fine until they were served fish for Thanksgiving, which was the straw that broke the camel's back.
What I took from it is that food preferences are closely associated with memories. His aunt's clam chowder was a good memory; fish for Thanksgiving is a bad memory.
I worked at a radio station where all the live mixing was done on computers with touch screens. When the system was new, one announcer sneezed all over the screen and everything went haywire. He immediately tried to clean it off, which only made things worse.
He stills hears about that from listeners years later.
I think the median household income in the US is about 44K, which means half make less... and those kids grow up anyway. We just don't figure into those statistics.
I can tell you, there's no citation. It's just a story that many people say is sorta close to something that happened at a company they worked for. I think it's a combination of previous stories that are kinda melded together. Things like this happen, just not in such a neat little package.
Now its "naturally" turning white, and when it's evened out, I'll likely quit dying it.

The first link is a fairly new post, though.
