That's true, Edward! I also gave up ironing long ago and don't even have an ironing board. If you use a dryer and hang, fold, or properly store clothing as soon as it's dry, you don't need to iron. I do keep an iron for emergencies, because with teenagers, there's always the possibility of a "situation."

You have a point there. My mother has a good pension, a farm that is paid for, and the wherewithall to do what she wants, but not much of a credit rating (she says). It's because she buys a car with cash every ten years or so, bought the farm on a land contract, and pays off her one credit card every month.

On the one hand, you can say Steph is applying as a bookkeeper, not a writer. But on the other hand, you'd like to hire someone with enough sense to know their limitations and get a parent, teacher, or friend to proofread the letter.

The first thing that jumped out at me was "I work great as a team" which makes no sense. Better to say "I will work well in a team" or "I can work well with a team."

From the perspective of someone who is older and married... I don't have any male friends outside of "husbands of my friends" and "friends of my husband" in which those folks are ALL friends, or male relatives, or internet friends that never expect to meet in real life. I don't get out much.

I recall a couple of decades ago when I announced my divorce, and all the sudden several of my co-workers, who I considered "friends," wanted to start a "relationship" immediately. That was an eye-opener! Life is hard when you are young and single.

I'm certainly sorry to hear that -anyone who can keep up with all of reddit that well should be working for us! I certainly didn't know all our stuff came from reddit (we cite our sources), and surfing the internet is all I do. reddit is pretty much a conglomeration of everything that is going on on the internet, and if you have the time to sort out the best for your own entertainment, I can understand why you don't need Neatorama (except that you'll be missing our exclusive articles -but they will show up on reddit sooner or later). For others who don't have as much time to surf, we present the best of what we find, wherever we find it. Personally, I reject 95% of the links I encounter, and try my best to present a steady diet of items that our readers will enjoy. But feedback always helps, because we want to be better at what we do.
