19 Delicious Pumpkin Seed Recipes

While we've been talking about pumpkin carving all month, it's finally getting close to the end of the month, which is when it's actually time to carve the pumpkin so it won't go rotten before Halloween night. If you're one of those pumpkin carvers who loves to put their seeds aside to save for later, you probably have a great tried and true recipe, but if you're looking to switch things up, Serious Eats has 9 great variations for your seeds and Swanky Recipes has 10 fun and tasty recipes for you to enjoy. I'm particularly interested in trying that one in the center that features chorizo and smoked paprika.

Who Doesn't Want to Play With A Platypus?

(Video Link)

I've always been in love with playpuses as they are pretty much the ultimate animal (combining ducks, beavers, and more all in one amazing, adorable package). But for whatever reason a lot of people just don't like them or think they're cute. If you're one of those people, then this video of a young platypus swimming in a pool, getting scratches and having all kinds of fun in general just might change your mind.

Of course, there is always the risk of accidentally bumping against their venomous spurs (if it's a male) and getting seriously sore just from playing with them, but I would be more than happy to accept that risk if it meant getting to play with one of these cuties. What about you?

That's right guys and gals, it's time again for our photo-filled, funtastic Great Pics of the Week series and before Halloween comes around, we thought we'd enjoy one more fantastic set of spooky pics...this time all incorporating some kind of horror. But don't shield your eyes just yet -even the most squeamish of you should still get a kick out of these stupidly hilarious horrific pictures.

Vote For Your Favorite Doctor Who Villain

Do you prefer Cybermen, Daleks, Weeping Angels, The Master or another new or classic Doctor Who villian? Whichever one is your favorite, now you can make your voice heard by voting on the BBC website for one of the top ten greatest villians ever shown on the fifty years of the TV show.

Of course, if your favorite bad guy isn't on their list, you'll have to settle for the ones on their poll, but at least they are encouraging fans to support their villians on Twitter with the hashtag #supportthe and your villian of choice. This way, you can build up support for your favorite on the social network.

If you the Cybermen are your favorite, you can also show your support with this great poster from the NeatoShop.

A Great Take On A Classic Peter Pan Costume

Peter Pan's eternal youth makes him an ideal source of inspiration for Halloween revellers everywhere. But for those who don't want to do something quite so generic, or those looking for a cute matching costume to wear with a friend, consider going as Peter Pan's shadow instead.

TikkiDo has a great tutorial on how to make this costume for yourself, but I suggest adding one thing as an accessory (especially if it's part of a matching costume) -a bar of soap so Peter can try to reconnect you to his body if he can ever catch you in the first place.

18 Impressive Food Mashups You Need to Try

Did someone say taco lasagna? Sounds like I've got new plans for dinner tonight. If you think that sounds good, what about macaroni and cheese in meatloaf balls? For those who prefer dessert, you might instead enjoy cupcakes with pumpkin pie inside.

If you dig food concoctions combining a few of your favorite snacks, then you'll absolutely love this great Buzzfeed list featuring 18 food mashups -like the pasta burrito from Californa chain Burrissimo. Best of all, most of the creations include recipes so you can try your hand at making them for yourself at home. Now, excuse me whille I make a taco lasagna.

Say Hello to the World's Largest Ball of Fluff

Just looking at this giant tribble rabbit is probably all the evidence you need to pronounce it as the world's fluffiest bunny, but that's why you're not a Guinness Book of World Records judge. Of course, even if this specific bunny isn't officially the fluffiest, he does have impressive hair volume. In fact, in this great round up of the adorable balls of fur called angora bunny rabbits, this little guy is still the fluffiest of the furriest bunnies on earth.

Oh and if you still were wondering, yes, these bunnies are where the yarn for your angora sweaters comes from -and as you can imagine, they are all too happy to be sheared for their wool.

When Disney Princesses Go Out For Halloween

Just because the Disney princesses are royalty doesn't mean they don't enjoy a little Halloween fun and in Isaiah Stephens' fun artworks, these classic characters have some pretty varried interests that leave them dressed up in all kinds of cute pop culture characters.

While the art is great and the idea is fun, some of his choices are totally fitting for the characters -particularly Mulan as Xena and Belle as Hermoine Granger.

It's particularly nice to see Aurora in control of a dragon version of Malificent while she trick or treats as Daenerys Targaryen -if only because she does so little during Sleeping Beauty.

15 Easy Last Minute Costume Ideas For Halloween

Whether you were just being lazy, didn't have plans until last minute or were just too busy to get a costume ahead of time, Inventor Spot's list of 15 easy last minute costumes can really help you put something together, many of them requiring nothing more than stuff you probably have around the house already. I'm a pretty big fan of this cactus costume, that requires nothing more than straws and a green sweat suit, but the umbrella bat is a pretty impressive costume for being made of things as simple as a broken umbrella and a black hoodie. Some are even more simple, requiring just balloons or sugar.

Hack Your Way to Movie Theater Pop Corn Heaven

If you love movie theater popcorn covered in their delicious, delicious butter, but hate how only the top ends up getting loaded in orange, melty goodness, then you should check out this brilliant new hack by Tri 102.5. Just stick a straw in the dispenser and use it to direct the flow of flavor throughout different levels of your popcorn bag. For even salt distribution, just take a couple of the salt packets into the theater with you.

Alternatively, you can also get a cardboard box the theaters use to hold combo deals and just dump out your popcorn in a nice thin layer that can be evenly buttered and salted with no trouble.

This Little Bumble Bee Is As Sweet As Honey

Reader Audrey Lilley is the newest Neatorama fan to send in a picture of her pet getting ready for Halloween to jill@neatorama, and just look at Britta in that bee costume. This busy little spaniel/lab mix looks ready to buzz her way around the neighborhood in hopes of getting some sweet treats.

More Like Walter Cute and Jesse Pinkbabe

This year, it seems just about everyone will be Miley Cyrus or Walter White. For those inclined to do the later, you might want to just give up on your Breaking Bad costume now because you're never going to compete with the awesomeness of these two cute drug dealers who are not only too young to ever have seen the show, but too young to even know what drugs are.

If you still aren't convinved that these are the ultimate in Breaking Bad costumes, consider that Aaron Paul (aka Jesse Pinkman) himself posted this picture on his Instagram.

We've Got Beer For Dogs, Now Try Wine For Cats

Sure, you could already enjoy a drink with your dog thanks to Bowser Beer, but cat's are way too classy for that. Fortunately, you can now enjoy a fine wine with your feline friend thanks to Japan's amazingly appropriately named Nyan Nyan Nouveau

In case you're worndering, "Nyan" is actually the sound the Japanese use to describe a cat's meow, not a referrence to Nyan cat, though that would be pretty fantastic too. Also, for those concerned about the cruel people trying to get their cats hammered, the wine doesn't actually include booze, it's just grape juice, vitamin C and catnip -which means your cat may be just as likely to try to rub its face in the wine as he is to drink it.

6 Cool Activities You Can Do With Pumpkins

Looking to do something different this Halloween? If so, you might want to grab some pumpkins and try your hand at some of the great pumpkin-based sports rounded up by Inventor Spot. Of course, you'll have to have a pretty giant pumpkin to try racing in a pumpkin paddling contest, so if you're not a seriously skilled pumpkin farmer or someone with enough money to buy a pumpkin large enough to boat in, that option's pretty much out, but the other five are ones pretty much anyone can do.

Personally, I'd like to try my hand at pumpkin bowling, mostly because I love bowling and am terrible at it, so pumpkin bowling would give me a great excuse at inevitably failing miserably.

Forget the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Get a Butter Beer From Starbucks

Did you know you can get a butter beer from Starbucks? Unfortunately, while they offer them, most employees are unfamiliar with the concoction and will give you a blank stare when you order it. If you don't mind being one of those overly-specific drink orderers though, just remember the following combination and you'll be able to get them to brew you up an authentic butter beer every time.

Just request a creme Frappuccino base with whole milk, 3 pumps caramel syrup, 3 pumps toffee nut syrup and a caramel drizzle on top. If you don't want to bother ordering it from Starbucks though, Blessed Elements, who revealed the Starbucks combination, also has an easy recipe to make your own at home.
