Nina Matsumoto of Space Coyote (of the Simpsonzu fame, blogged on Neatorama here), made another fan art. This time, it's her take of Bill Watterson's classic comic Calvin and Hobbes:
Few historians know of the heartwarming friendship between French Reformation theologian John Calvin and English political philosopher Thomas Hobbes, the latter of whom may or may not have been real, considering he was not even born yet.

Dogs are mentioned in the Bible 14 times. Cat isn't mentioned at all.
The only dog mentioned by breed in the Bible is the greyhound:
There be three things which go well, yea, Which are comely in going; A lion, which is strongest among beasts and Turneth not away from any; A greyhound; A he-goat also. (Proverbs 30:29-31, King James Version)
In the Bible, dogs are considered ill-tempered scavengers that are tolerated, but not loved. (Source) (Photo: Neurodoc [wikipedia])
This incident is quite possibly the first computer attack to inflict physical harm on the victims: hackers uploaded a flashing computer animation to an epilepsy support forum to trigger epileptic attacks!
RyAnne Fultz, a 33-year-old woman who suffers from pattern-sensitive epilepsy, says she clicked on a forum post with a legitimate-sounding title on Sunday. Her browser window resized to fill her screen, which was then taken over by a pattern of squares rapidly flashing in different colors.
Fultz says she "locked up."
"I don't fall over and convulse, but it hurts," says Fultz, an IT worker in Coeur d'Alene, Ohio. "I was on the phone when it happened, and I couldn't move and couldn't speak."
After about 10 seconds, Fultz's 11-year-old son came over and drew her gaze away from the computer, then killed the browser process, she says.
When his friends got suspended from school sports because of photos showing them drinking from red cups, Dustin Zebro decided to mount a protest of sorts: he invited scores of kids to a kegger party, which got busted by the cops.
But the kids got the last laugh, and here's why:
Cars lining the street. A house full of young people. A keg and drinking games inside. Police thought they had an underage boozing party on their hands.
But though they made dozens of teens take breath tests, none tested positive for alcohol. That's because the keg contained root beer.
The party was held by a high school student who wanted to show that teens don't always drink alcohol at their parties.

In the mid 1960s, Prof John W. Senders (that's him under the helmet) and a team of psychologists wanted to study the "attentional demand" of automobile driving.
So, they devised a special helmet with a movable visor that obstructed the driver's vision - in essence making him drive blindfolded and .... then send him down Route 128 outside of Boston!

Ah, here's the best sweded movie ever! This is the clip that has been making its round on teh Interweb: Tron, done with ... cardboard!
Who'd ever thought that cardboard Light Cycles could be so awesome? (Does anyone know who did this?) http://blog.epicfu.com/2008/03/cardboard-tron.html - Thanks RikkiB!
Found at Wooster Collective: this creative (and non-destructive) street art by a mysterious artist who makes animals out of discarded plastic bags and ties them to subway grates. When the train rushes below, the puff of air makes the animal jump to life!
After Bob of TheBobBlog saw a Park Planters pot by Tristan Zimmermann, retailing for $100 (or even higher), he decided that he could do one cheaper ... with LEGO! Here's Bob's version, the LEGO Planter: Link - Thanks Bob!
Gideon Boomer's friend asked him to draw the X-Men character Wolverine, so he did. And now he can't stop!
My friend Chuck made me draw Wolverine, so I did it and made him a mountain and an animal rights activist. One claw at the ready to slay those who would trespass upon his mammalian brotherhood. I guess it fixed or broke something in me cause now I can't stop drawing Wolverine.
Here's Gideon's blog, documenting his one Wolverine a day journey: Link
Attorney Terrye L. Cheathem (really?) noticed that a niche that Hallmark isn't serving, and decided to do something about it.
"With more than 2.5 million people incarcerated in the Unites States today, I saw that there was a tremendous need," she said.
Some express simple good wishes: "We are all praying for you while you do your time."
But most show a tougher sort of love. A Christmas greeting partly reads: "You had the choice to be 'naughty or nice.' And you chose ... Oh well, now you have to do your time."
Cheathem said she came up with the cards when her brother-in-law served 11 months in prison. She said she went searching for the appropriate greeting card, but couldn't find what she was looking for.
"There weren't any cards on the shelf that said anything like, 'Hey, you must make better choices,'" she said.
Her company, Three Squares Greetings, has the tagline of "Greeting Cards for Those Who Can't Come Home" ...
Nah, that's just some clever (manual) photographic manipulation by Robert Stirrett:
Zebras on plains, lush golf courses, sandy beaches in Africa... all fused with the iconic skyline of Toronto?
Toronto photographer Robert Stirrett uses scissors on actual prints to cut and paste, effectively transforming the city's skyline, mashing it up with exotic places he's traveled to over the years.

Jealous that your co-worker is leaving on a vacation while you're stuck in the office working? Here's snarky little how-to video on how to grow grass in your co-worker's keyboard.
No words whether the keyboard is usable afterwards, so be prepared to have to buy him or her a new one if you do this. And don't blame us, mmkay?
We posted a whole bunch of panorama photography on Neatorama but never a video one (Ooops, apparently we had! I don't even know what's been on my own blog ... Thanks Neatorama Fan!). Here's a technical tour de force, a video panorama of a street in Prague, by our pal and panorama guru Jeffrey Martin of 360cities.
After the clip starts, click your mouse anywhere in the video and drag it left and right and you'll see what I mean.
