War is really horrible. Once I had to help a friend and checked him into a VA Psych Ward with issues from Viet Nam. There were some in there from WW2. Fortunately my friend was treated and he did go on to live a useful life.
Remember the TV show "Name That Tune"?? There are a couple classics that I can tell by the opening note or two. Music is good for the memory as it conjurs up images from your past.
Yes. I even had my "Master's of Malt Beverages" from Pat's. Wish I still had it. MrsO. and I shared a pizza there in 2017 when we attended my 55th college reunion. Still good. One time in college there was a freezing rain that covered everything with a thick coat of ice. We put on our skates and skated down the Stillwater to Pat''s. Fun times.
That's good. I'll never forget the first time at Pat's Pizza in Orono when I went to move from my bar stool to a table where some friends were sitting. The bartended "flipped out" about it. Startled me.
When I was going to college at the U of Maine 1957-1962, state law banned standing and drinking alcohol. You even had to have a bartender/server take a drink for you if you moved to another spot. Do not know if that is still law there.
