What the...? I thought we were all going to be under water in ten years? Isn't that what Gore was trying to warn us about?

@ Skipweasel, Flagpole: Like I said, I'm not defending her, just defending the right of individuals to make decisions without getting approval from some government bureaucrat. Sure there are some decisions that some people make that you don't like, but in this case it's not as if there's some fad going around where droves of people are having 14 kids. Getting your thong bundled over this one isolated case is about as idiotic as having 14 kids under 5 years of age.
Please don't try to use this one woman's behavioral abnormality to justify Chi-Com-style population control.

What a colossally stupid idea.
Hey, I have an idea; let's put a cap on how many laws the Congress can enact. And for every one they enact, they need to nullify another.

Wow, the comments. Sure, it doesn't make much sense for someone to have that many kids, but who are you all to say she shouldn't? And if it came down to preventing this sort of thing from happening, who would make the call on that?
For those who say it's too many kids, has this woman's decision affected your life at all? Is your well being in any way diminished by the lives of those kids? I didn't think so.
Not defending the woman or the docs at all; like JenDiggity said, the alternative to the freedom we enjoy wouldn't be enjoyable.

I've often wondered what a baby's day would look like compressed. No wonder they sleep so much.

There ought to be a Carter/Obama chimera; policy-wise, I doubt you could tell the two apart, so the pairing ought to work pretty well in Photoshop too.

A friend lives on a street called Lois Lane. It's easy to find; just go up Chuck Road 'til you have to turn.

@Dave: My point was that the trend lately has been to give Obama a pass at every turn, and under very minimal scrutiny this tracker seems to be following along in lock-step. Too, too predictable.
Sorry, but I did assume that what you said was a form of hero-worship. There's an awful lot of that going on lately, and the guy hasn't done squat. And you won't catch me quibbling without good reason. ;o)

Now this is neat. Gore looks none too happy about something. He doesn't seem to be with the crowd in giving applause to whatever the messiah just said.

@ violet
So "It’s a tracker that keeps tabs on our President’s integrity" eh? It'd be great if that was the deal, but it's not. It's already off the mark on one campaign promise that the publisher considers to be kept; during the campaign Obama said on his "first day in office, I would give the military a new mission: ending this war". That's a bit different than what he actually did, and even if I were a fan and supportive of a quick withdrawl from Iraq I sure wouldn't call that one complete. If that's a sign of how the so-called "Truth-O-Meter" is going to work... well I'd call it a fail.
Saying that the President's "behavior affects all our lives" is giving him a bit too much credit. His behavior affects your life in some instances, and others if you let it.
@ pazza
So "Interesting people are liberals"? It'd be more accurate to say that since you're a liberal you find other liberals interesting. In case nobody's mentioned it, the world doesn't revolve around you. You're not showing much maturity by thinking that everyone shares your tastes. Nor does the world revolve around Obama, much as most of the Neatorama post-ers would like us to believe.
No, I won't join the chorus of whining. You all post about whatever pulls your pin; seems to me the goal of posts like this is to get the readers more engaged, and what shows that more than comments on a post? They're just chasing numbers. And besides, like JMM said, the Obama stuff fits oh so very well with all the other fluff.

@Guldar:
That's quite impressive. Australia beat out the US on that Happiest Countries poll by a staggering 3/10ths of a percent. Maybe the US would be a much happier place if everyone had an Obama Action Figure.

Randall & Gauldar are right; this can't be Obama. A lefty wouldn't hold the gun like that, Obama doesn't do lapel-pin flags, plus the ears don't stick out quite far enough.

The only other place I've considered living is Australia, but I hear they have terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad days there too.
