Does anyone else here wonder about employee liability and sanitary issues??
I am torn on this though, because this is acceptable in other countries and America does still have a tendency to cling to it's Puritan roots (whether that's good or bad is another debate). I think, well, we need to be open-minded about business and capitolism is all about competition. But then, where does the line stop at competition? How far do we push it?
Then there's going to be the "Oh my god, now little girls will grow up thinking they have to strip to make money!" people.
I just think it's kinda tasteless and pointless. It doesn't anger me but I guess I'm not completely comfortable with the idea...

Weird...I think L and J of the Sandhills are on the right track.
There have to be bodies somewhere, or remnants of them or some other sort of trace evidence...or we can put it down to Med students do freaky things...

I find it arrogant and close-minded of people when they are suprised that animals do certain things in certain ways that they attribute only to humans. Just because we don't communicate or live in ways that they do, just because we do not understand does not mean they don't have their own concepts of morality/ethics/language, etc.
WOW. It's almost like that kind of thinking has started wars among HUMANS.

Hmmm.

There was a guy at RenFest this year dressed as Jack Sparrow. He was DEAD ON and HOT. He was just another RenFest nerd but girls kept getting pictures with him.

Barbwire, making beer and wine for yourself is perfectly legal (as long as you don't SELL it).
Moonshine has a much higher alcohol content (think everclear, sometimes higher).
Though I'm not so sure lead poisoning is as much of a problem anymore unless you're using an antique still.
So, the lesson here is: if your 9 year old cousin asks your 47 year old cousin for some of the water he's drinkin' from a mason jar, you'll find yourself in the interesting position of explaining moonshine to a 9 year-old because the phrase "Fire-water" only makes them want it more.

I think it's sad, I don't understand why you are being so harsh. Yes, things change, that is inevitable, but that doesn't make some of those changes any less meaningful (for good or bad).
And eminent domain is bull. They have torn down thousands of houses to build big box stores and then cried out asking why all the people in the city were leaving! It is no longer used for the purpose it was intended. I have to agree with Denise64 on this one.
You can't just call her a whiner and be done with it. And lux, way to completely assume they are only tearing down "low income shanties" because they aren't. That sounds a little self-important to me.

Hmm. Mexicans are doing all the jobs most americans don't want to. Let's put up a fence to keep any more from getting in, ship out the ones who came here because they couldn't make it in their country, and then wonder where all our labor went.
I don't care about the golf course, I do not agree with tearing a reserve in half. If the coyotes can integrate (DUH there's a fence in the way...) then chances are good (bad) that the ecosystem will be off-kilter. What's the point of a reserve anyway??

There's an awful lot of assumption of "hatred" because someone doesn't agree with this family's beliefs. I don't hate them. I think it's completely irresponsible and ridiculously wasteful. The world doesn't need more people. If they want to take care of children, and be good christians, what about adoption? How many hundreds of thousands of children are starving?
And no matter what you say, it is not right to have kids so you have someone to take care of the other kids you keep popping out. Breeding your own servants, what?
At Chad: and who pays the taxes so the government can support them? EVERYONE ELSE.

It's a great idea. I think linoleum is kind of innately tacky and that's part of the wonderfulness of the design.
And I actually really like the final pictures. The colors came together pretty nicely.
