Fatness was admired because it meant you were rich enough to buy lots of food. I don't know if people knew about the health risks at that time. (The article does say that his weight was due to a pituitary condition, though, and not overeating.)
That guy is obviously over 21. I would be embarrassed to be a clerk and have to ask for his ID. I probably wouldn't. And if I got fired for it, too bad. I wouldn't want to work for people who made me act like a moron and harass old folks, anyway.
He had to give up his summer to do it, and now he isn't even sure what he wants to do with his "perfect" brain. "Something to do with math or science"... How specific. If knowing what he wanted to do with the rest of his life had been part of the SATs, this guy would have failed.

Punishing people who can't understand or control their own behaviour? That's just sick. I've heard about this place before. I can't believe it's still allowed to operate.
This doesn't make any sense. The Mid Atlantic Ridge caused the Americas and Africa/Europe to move away from each other due to volcanic activity. This theory means that that movement suddenly has to reverse itself!
I don't deny that there could be another Pangea one day... but I would assume it would be because the continents had come together through the shrinking of the Pacific Ocean, not the Atlantic.

Canadian money is prettier. Even the kind with the "spy poppies". :)
