"it uses certain algorithms to distinguish faces, as opposed to hands"

Because it's easier to drive while missing a hand than while missing a head, right? What the heck does this have to do with anything?

I didn't see what this post had to do with attacking Canada, either, Adam. The Internet isn't used just by Americans, and you never know who might be reading your words. Sometimes it's best to think before you post.

As far as teachers go, I've had some great ones and some not-so-great ones. The great ones could control the class because they understood the students and what they were doing; they saw through the crap. The not-so-great ones lost control because they didn't realize the students were egging them on. But that was a while ago. I honestly would not want to attend public school today, with half the kids on mind-altering prescription drugs and the teachers burned out from trying to discipline all day.

"The changes are going to see the destruction of the rainforest scene – a really detailed, colorful and innovative representation of Mary Blair’s artwork – with a massive “Hooray for the U.S.A.” scene."

Uhh... I don't think that came out sounding quite right. Unless the U.S.A. is really proud of destroying rainforests.

I'll bet that tickles going down...

And I wonder how many people who will decry this as cruel will then go and eat a Big Mac (made from zapped and forklifted downer cows).

I'm wondering the same thing as Dumby. Warmer climates shouldn't see any flu at all, if this theory is correct. And the Inuit, with a long winter season, should've been wiped out by the flu ages ago.

It probably has more to do with the immunity and/or general health levels of certain populations. I'm sure we all know of someone who always gets the flu, as well as someone who never gets it. Scientists should be studying that... not butter-like coatings that may or may not have anything to do with whether a person actually develops the flu once they're exposed to the virus.
