oh man...I grew up on text based games...I never had a game console, just a computer. My dad taught me dos just so I could access the games and not bother him all the time.

I'm pretty sure that I've seen this same speech over a year ago. It was linked on Eric Nakagawa's blog at the time (the creator of ICHC). I have taken this philosophy to heart. It is better to do something rather than nothing. This philosophy has made my life actively better. This one speech actually changed my life to make me more active, and not just creating lolcats, but to make art and do things in society, such as, as weird as this may be, I participated in the first ICHC art show. It was my first gallery show and it was in San Francisco. Make fun of it all you want, but Clay Shirky makes a good point.
@alex: Aside from being a nervous person in general, I also have extremely varied tastes, so I feel like I'm missing something if I don't look at everything...and that stresses me out, so I either don't look, or only look for awhile before I get overwhelmed and leave.
Is there some way of integrating the sub-blogs into the main blog so that I can see things all at once and in order? Before, when there was the old layout, if I had gone on vacation I could just go back to the day I had left and scroll through from there to catch up. Now there seems to be too many things to scroll through.
I'm sorry if I'm the only one who has this problem. I have a tiny screen and only a tiny part of my brain that can handle several tabs and clutter and keeping track of where I've left off.
I would rather have to scroll through an extremely long single list than try to keep up on several other smaller links. I have followed your blog from the very beginning and now it's just getting overwhelming and I find myself drifting away from reading it everyday.
i totally went out with a spray bottle and food coloring last year when it snowed...i had a tie-dyed hedge outside my window...it melted in a week...was funny while it lasted, took entirely too much food coloring though
i can never seem to find old posts that i want to show someone else, and i think it has to do with the lijit search...is there some other search engine you can provide to make finding older stuff easier?
