jmp478: it is usually sunny here, but because we are fairly far North we only get limited sunshine (and if you live in England, not even then U_U). In places like the south of France, Italy and Spain there is a lot more sunshine.

Also, I know this is sterotypical but FRENCH DRIVERS ARE CRAZY. Anyone who's ever been to the Marble Arch knows this (its actually illegal to cross there, and no insurance company will cover you there). While I've been in France I have seen: a car skid around a corner so fast he left skid marks on the PAVEMENT (sidewalk), a car stopping in the middle of the road and the guy getting out and leaving it there, and a man doing a U-turn on a motorway. And a French guy I know who lives in England once left the handbrake off of his car and it rolled down the hill backwards for about half a mile before it came to a stop! French drivers don't really suprise me anymore...

I think tattoos really are a matter of choice. I think that R-rated tattoos shouldn't be allowed the same way a person wouldn't be allowed to walk around in public wearing something inappropriately revealing, but apart from that it all comes down to what the person wants, even if it does look awful. What is the most annoying kind of tattoo though are the ones which are misspelled... that would drive me insane!
And the worst tattoo I've ever see was on the back of someone's head in a motorway service saying "Stoke-on-Trent. Jake."... seemed like the guy was just making sure he didn't forget where he came from or what his name was...

What is with those little silver balls you get to put on cakes?
Seriously, they don't taste like anything, and they hurt my teeth!
Also I love the geeky wedding cake! That would be so cool to have a themed cake like that ^_^

I'd probably say no to a Star Trek wedding, but I'd consider a Star Wars one. I could imagine walking up the aisle to the sound of the cantina band...
Maybe I'm taking this too far... U_U
Ah well. I know a couple who had a giant Renaissance themed wedding at an old castle where everyone dressed up and they had a big banquet at the end with roast venison... that would be quite cool too I think ^_^

The opera sung by the Diva in the Fifth Element is Il Dolce Suono from Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti (think that's how you spell it...). You can probably guess that they've changed the ending a bit though...
I'm suprised you didn't include Sull'aria from the Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, which was featured in the Shawshank Redemption (it's played over the tannoy to the entire prison). It's a fantastic song.
Also, I can't hear Ride of the Valkyries any more without thinking to myself "Kill da wabbit, kill da wabbit! Kill da wabbit!"

Reminds me of the tribe which killed a couple of fishermen who got wrecked on their shores a while back.

And Mel, they live in the middle of thick jungle so there's no place to land an aircraft, and it's a long way from any civilization, very difficult to reach even with a proper expedition. That's the only reason it hasn't been disturbed so far, and I'm pretty sure that no one will go to any lengths to reach them for a while (at least, while the forest still remains... and with the rate at which the rainforest is being cut down probably won't be very long at all).

I think they've just done pretty much the exact same thing twice.
Michael Jackson music, a guy starts moonwalking and generally MJing it up, then another guy in a turban comes on from somewhere unexpected, starts dancing in a bhangra style, they dance fight for a bit then they both do a sort of MJ bhangra fusion before ending with a jump into splits.
IT'S THE SAME THING.
Also I have no idea why Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan are on there. They have no idea... they put through a guy on a keyboard playing the Star Wars theme (from sheet music) COMPLETELY out of key! It was possibly the worst thing on TV ever.

I LOVE IT!
I wish musicals would get more creative with their advertising like this! It's usually just shot of the main character and the title. Or some arty black and white shots (I'm looking at you Chicago). The Lord of the Rings poster could have been so much more interesting, but they went for boring character shots. They didn't even have a tagline. The same goes for Avenue Q.

Also EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL? Okay...

Just imagine if someone came on stage at a concert and said "Yeah, I play the balloons" then proceeded to make this.
It's quite a cool thing to watch, but the quality of sound isn't that good at the end (like playing the hosepipe or watering can...)

Does anyone know if they're actually speaking Italian or making it up? My knowledge of Italian extends as far as "crescendo" "rallentando" and "diminuendo" and that's pretty much it... at least I learned something from music theory test!

I didn't really understand it. Were we meant to match the music to the symbols using logic, or our instincts, or just what we thought best represented it? This is kind of like the scoring they use for experimentalism, but really basic. I didn't finish the test in the end, it just got on my nerves (and I'm usually really good at music... )

Maybe they just don't like maths because IT DESTROYS YOU!
Okay maybe I'm a bit biased because I am taking maths exams at the moment and I feel as if with every equation I solve (or more often than not, fail to solve) a tiny piece of my sanity slips away... It's just very very difficult, and what makes people not like it is that some people have incredible natural ability in it (like most of my maths group) and make people who have to struggle to achieve anything feel really stupid. Also I don't really like maths because, like Aar000n said, it's really abstract, you only learn figures and equations, nothing that's "real" in most senses. Also I definitely believe that there are some people who are good at sciences and some people who are good at academic subjects, and I am 100% in the latter category.

I didn't get any of them U_U.
I always have problems seeing optical illusions, even really simple ones, because I have no depth perception. Some things which seem odd to you look the same way to me all the time... which is why I can't tell the difference between a flat TV picture and something real (I didn't even realise that there was any difference until I saw an optical illusion show which took advantage of this).

I was sure they'd have put the one Seth McFarlane did for Harvard as Stewie Griffin:

I know it's not inspirational or life-changing or anything, but it's got to be better than Ali G (he's even worse than Borat).

He did ones as Quagmire and Peter as well:
