I normally hate lists like these, but this one is really good. I haven't read most of the Russian lit, but they seem to have a good selection.

This would be a great post, except I had to scroll almost halfway down the neatorama main page to get to the comments link... and I can't remember what I wanted to say.

That is absolutely sublime. I love it.

This is such an outlandish story that I'm going to wait until the other side tells their version before judging.

All destroyed for nothing? This lady's whining makes it sound like living next to an airport was a great way to grow up, that she'd want her kids to experience. And she never mentions how much money the developers threw at them just for that house.

Zero, a group who claims their goal is slowing population growth, is handing out advice on how to raise more crotch goblins? That's hypocritical.

If I ever get to design my judicial system, this is going to be written in stone. The biggest problem with criminal law is lack of allowance for grey areas.

As someone who has accidentally done that while grilling, I can testify that not only does the plastic melt, it sometimes catches fire and smells godawful.
But these guys keep saying that they put put their wrapped cheese slices in a barbecue, so I guess something different happens when you smoke it for hours at a time using indirect heat.

It's sad how many people blindly believe all the scaremongering spewed forth from the global warming cult. Nothing is going to happen!

These people did the right thing, but it's too bad squirrels are too ornery to be kept as pets.

There is absolutely no way she could have had a fully developed brain with that type of disorder, and this article's claim that she was a graceful dancer is just as ludicrous. I've seen footage of other micromidgets born in that last twenty years, and the only thing admirable about them is the fact that their internal organs continue to function.

That must smell terrific... and hopefully he sprayed it down with fire retardant.

Man, I was such a bad physics student. I only recognize two of those laws. I was always better with heat conservation.

Since they already had Atlas Shrugged, I think they figured two Ayn Rand books would be repetitive. As for the multiple Teddy Roosevelt bios... yeah, I don't get that. I would have had Glory Road or Starship Troopers by Heinlein at the top of the list, myself.
