defend adds all you want. makes sense, they're to your benefit.
but blocking adds in not thievery. That's a completely silly thing to think.
Hacking into a site that was pay to view would be thievery, i can see that.
but blocking adds? Oi. if you put up a web page, you can only expect people to view what that want and not view what they don't. you cannot obligate them to view certain things. Carry that mentaility just a little further, and you get to the point where it could be "thank you for visiting this site. you have just purchased 1 year of 'product'. this will be charged to your ISP".
oh, and tax is a fee to live in a country. i don't think 'thou shall watch adds' is in the constitution anywhere.
lol @ Jerse. While you can dream about Mr. Takei's wang all you want, a deep voice would be more likely porportional to large testicles, not a large wang. (since they produce testosterone, and that deepns the voice.)
Well, at least bouts of unsuppressed anger and rage aren't typical signs of steriod use. Oh wait... :P
I love the random bleachers guy in blue they show after he hits himself. (I guess it may be a coach or something, but the video doesn't really say).
Also, I don't think he was bleeding due to a really hard blunt impact, i think it was probably due to the racket strings actually slicing him a little bit on one of the smacks.
I, in fact, WOULD tell him to be grateful for his former obsession if the roles were reversed. Anything that would keep a person from self destruction is good, even if it is an obsession. (well, as long as it wasn't self- or other- destuctive as well, such as alcohol/drug use, or serial killing or something.)
It might not be ideal, but living with an obsession is better than sinking into depression - or worse.
As someone who works in a 'white collar' job in IT (finally), i must say... I can sympathize with this.
I know the point was an ethnic-irony (could that music be any more steriotypical? lol), but that aside..
Getting a job nowaday, even with a good education, and yes, even for white males, can sometimes really feel like this video portrays it "pick me, pick me!"
So, I guess this video works on a few levels. :P
Oh, and @rodger... advertisement. THe money spent on this film is actually an investment in their own company, Screaming Frog Productions it would seem.
I don't think the average person would do this - it seems that self-preservation would be a much more common reaction - and lack of compassion for someone taking from you (your money, sense of security, etc) is certainly more 'human nature.'
Which is why I think an action like this is wonderful (if true). Yes, he took a risk, and perhaps the kid didn't learn anything. But, perhaps finding person in the world who 'wasn't a b_stard' (or something) made the difference for him.
In any case, this is a great example of what can redeem my faith in people, which is nice once in a while, given all the horrible things we hear of humans usually doing.
"After winning the lawsuit against the trucking company involved in the accident, her husband put the money in a trust to pay for Debbie’s long-term care.
And now, retail giant Wal-Mart wants that money:"
Well, *technically*, they don't want the lawsuit money, they want the long-term health car money they paid out, back. (albiet, them recieving the lawsuit money made them 'legally' be able to try to get money back).
So, I've exchanged a few emails with the creater of the site (nice guy), and he had this to say:
"There are lots of TV universes, though. This is the most extensive, by far. And the fun of it - to begin with - was to see what could link to St Elsewhere. Thus Tommy Westphall has the honour of being the name of the universe... Yes, the idea it's all in his head doesn't really add up - but it is television, after all :-)"

the version of "I DO sexy things to myself" somehow seems a little creepy, esp in the context of one's little girl singing along.
"the Dr Who obsession was the only thing that kept me going. I wouldn’t have given it up if you’d have put a gun to my head.”
Sounds to me that Dr. Who kept him out of a scary pit of dispair. He should be more greatful.
