Obama..but some of the policy rhetoric is also the same for both sides. Like the emissions question..they both wanted 1990 emissions by 2050..they just said it differently.

Foreign oil is fairly cheap considering the demand and the whole 'dependency' on it is definitely a political maneuver used by both sides..although I do think many actually believe in it. It covers all bases, the xenophobes love it as well as the anti-war people. While I don't mind drilling here if people here want it, let's not fool ourselves into believing this would stop our import of foreign oil..too many people in power in the Western world would lose too much. Just look at their relationships with Saudi Arabia to see how desperate they are for it. If there's more, people will make more (not just switch sides) and we will use more.

He sounds like a douchebag..though I know plenty just like him..but if someone didn't mind being a maid and 'nice to look at' (wow) this could be a great opportunity depending on the location. She could develop a relationship with him that was platonic while making him depend on her, increasingly then becoming more independent and able to make demands that allow for a good life. For some reason, I don't think the long-term potential gf scenario will be much of a worry. Invest in a good bedroom lock though.

Housing equality is such a fascinating and complicated thing. The fact that so many fast food restaurants are popular is because of so many things including:

1. Grocery prices today are very high compared to income. And it's common practice for grocery stores to not build in low income areas (see also: banks and check cashing places)
2. Low income areas tend to have working residents that work more hours than average.
3. The cycle is repeated for generations when school funding formulas are based on property taxes (this is a real killer).

This, and much more than my feeble mind can know, is all to say that fast food eating is a symptom, not the disease. Banning or limiting the amount of chains won't hurt but this sort of effort would be much better in working towards the real causes of human decline.

Not meaning to sound too existential but what is the problem of anything existing here on earth? Even if they are mentally/physical/emotionally challenged? What does an idiot reproducing an idiot have to do with me or the potential end of the world? You may call it a mess but it's what it is..existence.
