Has any one considered the Lemming effect? Well as you know lemmings jump to their death. But the theory behind why they do that is because the island that the live on no longer has enough food to sustain them. So they go looking for food, all together all around the same time. What eventually happens is they start following each other. The lemming in the front lead the lemming in the back. But when the lemmings in the front get to a cliff, and a ledge, they can't turn around. The lemmings in the back start pushing the lemmings in the front, because they don't know there is a cliff in front of them so the push the lemmings in the front off the cliff.

A long explanation for a simple case of cows probably getting spoked and pushing some the the herd off the cliff.

The problem with the NY metro card is that it is disposable. NY should follow Shanghai's example and adopt a sturdy credit-card-like metro card. The commuter would pay a one time fee for a rechargeable metro card and once 'e is done with it 'e hands in back in for a reimbursement of that one-time charge. In so doing the commuter will be forced to recycle, because it will be part of the transaction.

Evolved is the wrong word to use, if you are using it in a biological sense. Instead, I would have used "Whoa: adapted Superbird Fishes Like a Human"

Biology uses "evolved" to indicate a genetic/phenotypic change of a population. Mutation is used to indicate a genetic change in an individual (positive or negative). Adaption is used to indicate a behavioral change in an individual or group of individuals in response to environmental change.

I only mention this because, when tying to debate the theory of evolution some people have issues with the difference between biologic and layman definitions. So I mention it to expand one or two people's minds.

Maybe another time i will talk about the biological definition of "theory"

[Phenotype (phenotypic): Observable physical characteristics]

I have a fear of being in large volumes of water by myself. It stems from a lie my mother told me so that i would keep away from pools. She told me there was a monster in the pool. I rationalized that it was an invisible shark and that if i was in the pool with someone else the shark would eat them first.

I agree. She probably isn't a virgin. Furthermore, why does she expect someone to pay for her virginity, when this sick sad world has whole sex trade that charges a fraction of a college tuition for the same commodity.

What is most ridiculous about his whole explanation is that the banana, as we know it, has been selectively bred by humans for centuries. So, its perfection as a food was designed. Evidence in Papua New Guinea suggests that banana cultivation goes back to at least 5000 BCE, and possibly to 8000 BCE. (wiki) Check out wiki because they even have images of what a wild banana looks like, which isn't very "perfect."

I think the gentleman is only illustrating the point that God is made in our own image.

I would like to point out that Portuguese is not mentioned most likely because it is so similar to Spanish. To the point where I as a Portuguese speaker can understand Spanish. In fact, I have a harder time understanding some dialects of Brazilian Portuguese. I would compare it is the difference between Afrikaans and Dutch.
