It'd be next to impossible to keep it all hanging together. The Euro is under a lot of strain at the moment, as the various countries that make it up see their economies drift in scattered directions. The UK fell out of the ERM but not before haemoraging money trying to stay in.
That's with a bunch of broadly similar developed Western democracies. Imagine throwing loads of small nations into the pot and watching the turmoil.

UK passports (and probaly all other EU states' too, since they're a common model) won't accept photos with smiles.

Anyone who's worked in a school will find it hard to choose names for babies - almost any name you can think of will have at least one ghastly child associated with it.

If he's like me he'll be suffering from sleep paralysis and desperately trying to wiggle enough to kick-start his muscle control.

supafreake - I once had to dispose of a wheelchair accessible minibus. Poor old thing really was past it and didn't comply with reasonable safety standards. Turned out the best thing to do was give it to the local fire brigade who enjoyed themselves immensely. Being GRP they didn't want to burn it, but they invited several neighbouring teams over and spent a happy afternoon turning it over and rescuing "wheelchair users" from it. They were so pleased to have something different for a change - normally they only get cars.

Even once you've costed in the adhesive and grout, it's still probably a lot cheaper than most flooring. Antiseptic, too - few things will grow on copper and its alloys. That's why coins don't spread disease - though the same probably isn't true of notes.

Given the price of some wallpaper I guess papering with fivers could come out cheaper, too.
