I like to think of this as a compendium of furniture that will be for sale in 1 to 5 years.

And those Adobe photos are are ridiculous and pointless as their outdated UIs. Nice shot of standard industrial lighting, though.

We just babysat for a friend's 4 month old yesterday. I was surprised how much I missed the uncontrolled, nearly autonomic giggle a baby makes. Our 2 year old boy is the greatest thing ever, but a baby's giggle is truly a magical device that turns adults to jelly. I'm convinced it's an evolutionary survival mechanism to keep parents interested in taking care of them, and it works like a charm.

boab - You're joking, right? In case you didn't know, some animals have to hunt their food instead of buying it at the market. And I don't think eagles have the option of becoming vegetarians. The state of science education in this world just gets sadder and sadder.

Unlike humans, animals don't just kill one another for food. Their hunting actually weeds out weak, sick, or genetically inferior animals and keeps species lower on the food chain healthy and at proper population levels. It's not always pretty, but no one is forcing you to watch, so just put your ignorant troll stick away.

This is amazing. I thought it was pretty cool that he knew to drag the goat off the cliff to its death, but when that one at the end *carries* it away - oh, man!

I have seen a Golden Eagle in the Pt Reyes seashore area of No. California, and I had to stop the car and do a double take. It appeared to be about the size of a VW bug. It was the biggest bird I have ever seen in person, and I actually felt good that it was from the safety of my car.

On a side note, my 2-1/2 year old loves the red-shouldered hawks nesting in the tree behind our house, and just yesterday got to see him/her grab a squirrel out of a tree. Circle of life, my friend.

While I think this is a beautiful model, I'm a little saddened that someone would put such modeling talent to such a tired subject. As someone who's built numerous Star Destroyers (digitally) for various games, and as a former scale modeler myself, I appreciate the effort and care he's put into this. But I can't help but think how cool it would be to do something on this scale that was original, or from some story that hasn't been widely told yet.

This is such a great concept (and that's all it is right now, apparently). It seems like it would be possible to make it with lower-profile light arms if the clock face were concave, which would streamline the clunky proportions a bit. A watch version where the light arms folded out would be beyond awesome.

It's not such an amazing story when you consider all the people who might have offered to hand over more or ask their assailant to dinner and were then shot or stabbed. Those stories don't usually make the news as there's no one alive or willing to talk about them.

The gun prototype seems nifty, if you're into that sort of thing (what the hell kinda neighborhood is he walking his dog in where anyone could potentially afford a gun like this? Oh, right!).

The best thing about this is Sgt. Jaw-beard. C'mon, this guy is the best thing to hit the 'net since surprised prairie dog! "Gits nasty - git down to bid-nez" is my new mission statement.

I don't understand why the man can't just support her if she moves out with him. They talk about it like their daughter has to automatically disown them if she moves out. (Too lazy to real long-ass article).

But is is kinda creepy, and guaranteed she will dump him in a few months. Guess it's better to be at "home" for the eventual fallout.

So there was a guy driving the truck, right? WTF? Those losers stand around like nothing happened. Wasn't the guy crushed?

Aside from that, this is another good reason to encourage math studies in school, especially geometry.
