Oh gods don't encourage The Simpsons to write more horrid musical numbers. The bit with Spinal Tap was great and little Rainier Wolfcastle's Oscar Meyer parody makes me laugh every time, and I guess I have a soft spot for Flanders' "there's going to be a floody floody // get those animals on the arky arky".
The less you know about Japan's "line", the better. They've got a clear-cut obscenity law (unlike the US "community standards" sillyness) but it's sometimes surprisingly lenient where minors are involved or depicted. (Also relaxed if movies are made for export. Go figure.)
I think we will all agree that Edison torturing and killing elephants by electrocution was a dick move of massive proportions worthy of bringing an organisation with the name "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals" into being. But is _this_ really how they feel they best can influence the human relationship with our fellow beasts? They surely have a few screws loose.
Poor post office -- expected to run like a business but all major decisions have to go through the idiots in congress. They must provide universal service at universal prices despite the vastly different conditions in Alaska and New York. They raise their rates in annoying increments rather than .05 or .10 at a time, forcing us to know what the cost is in pennies _this year_ and manage piles of silly one-cent stamps.
