My thyroid is utterly screwed. My TSH level is the worst the doctor has ever seen in someone who still had a thyroid, so I'm put on medication. Medication that's caused horrific side effects (rapid heartbeat, can't breathe. You really feel like you're going to die.) I am overweight, but regardless of what I do, I don't lose it. My metabolism is boned, and unless a med is found that doesn't cause chronic side effects, I'm screwed.

This is a bullshit solution to an irrelevant problem. Seriously, do some research if you believe this crap.

It's rather telling that the "nuts" are making coherent arguments, whereas the people who believe the government version offer nothing but petty insults.

To accept, verbatim, the government version when there are so many flaws and holes is to piss on the memory of the thousands that died that day IMO. To not question, to accept blindly without the hint of being able to think for yourself is disturbing.

Do I believe the government did it? Directly? No. Do I believe they knew it was coming and did nothing? Absolutely. Pearl Harbor was allowed to happen to justify America entering the war. This much as has been confirmed by various sources over the years. But it took several decades for it to even be considered as possible.

Governments will sacrifice their citizens for their own ends, whether noble or nefarious. Anyone who doubts this, just look up the bombings of Coventry in World War 2. The British government knew it was coming, but couldn't issue an evacuation order, because if they did the German's would know their code had been cracked. Hundreds were killed.

Anyone who doesn't at least question 9/11 is so very very blind.

I am an F1 addict. Have been for 20 years. Back when I started, it was just a regular steering wheel. Given everything a driver has to do today, it's amazing. Old days it was change gear and steer. Now they're practically fighter pilots.

In fact they spend so much time fiddling with buttons, is it any wonder the racing has gone to shit.

This is bullshit. From a recent study, a lifetimes supply of condoms is 95 times cheaper than circumcision. And more effective. But of course since it's American's pushing this, as in right wing fucktards, they can't possibly teach birth control. No, far better to mutilate them. White mans burden and all that.

The WHO has been snowed with all this. One study does NOT mean anything. Especially as the original study was so flawed. (Seriously, you're gonna bust out the study, you might want to research what went into the study ITSELF.)

You're so called "facts" are questionable. I mean I can pull up studies that show global warming is both happening and not happening. So I'd get down off that penis mutilating high horse of yours before you fall off.

Translation: Braindead Fucktard commits crime then tries to attribute blame to video game in attempt to say "but it wasn't my fault".

I'm waiting for the greyhound beheading to be blamed on GTA.

I became a bit obsessed earlier this year with Chernobyl and became fascinated with the abandoned town of Pripyat. It's so horrifying to read about all this. I remember laying in bed when this happened and the radiation was spreading over Europe, just utterly terrified.

29 seconds to get all ten for me.

If they wanted to be REALLY obscure, they could have gone with all those in the "Curse of the Fatal Death" Comic Relief story. (If I recall it was Rowan Atkinson, Joanna Lumley and Richard E Grant... Been a long time since I saw it. I think there were more.) Plus Cushing of course.

A helmet actually noted as SAVING A KID!!!! Seriously, this is great and all, but helmets being mandatory is idiotic. I went to a school with 1000 kids. About 250 of them biked to school. In five years not one was even HIT by a car. (This was the late 80's.) The one person hit and killed by a car was in my class, and was walking.

Since I left that school, there has been one cycling related death. And a helmet wouldn't have helped there. She was riding on the sidewalk (illegal in England), and the load on the back of a lorry swung out and decapitated her.

This story is honestly the first one I've EVER read that indicates the helmet actually saved someone. Now as I said, it's great that she's okay. But speaking as someone who used to ride motorbikes in a somewhat idiotic fashion, all I found was the helmet gave me a false sense of security. I wonder how many kids wearing helmets have been killed?
