Always carry a box cutter, at least. I suspect that behind their bland bureaucratic faces, TSA agents are actually cardboard. Or at least sympathizers.

Be ready when the paper ones come…

Are you sure you're not in the pay of Big Coptic?

I'm not sure how much more of the whole story you can expect. It seems pretty straight-forward to me, but if you want to believe this guy starved himself to the point of illness so he could blame some Egyptians, go right ahead.

Dear Xerox,

Your old logo was fine. Whoever told you you should change it probably has shares in whatever printing company you jobbed out the changeover to.

Thanks,

I would suggest going to the library or buying William Poundstone's Big Secrets series of books, one of which had the secret of Mrs. Fields' cookies. Other receipes included Kentucky Fried Chicken, Grey Poupon and Coca-Cola. Plus a whole bunch of other stuff that may be somewhat obsolete since the books came out in the 80s-early 90s.

Locavores aren't logical. So, instead of putting a big load of produce on a truck, driving it to a train and loading it, sending the train to a distribution point and trucking the 1000s of pounds of vegetables to the grocery stores, it makes more sense for a farmer to take a couple hundred pounds, tops, of vegetables, put them in his truck, drive to your local farmers market that you, too, probably drove to to buy your produce. While this might make sense if you are a gourmand who doesn't want to pay Whole (Paycheck) Foods prices, it doesn't make sense for the average person. Not to mention that the whole organic foods movement is almost entirely BS.

@ Drew

Arguably a murder costs a massive amount - loss of income, funeral expenses, investigative and legal expenses, but really you are confusing economic harm with physical harm - which isn't too bright, in my book. I'm not saying the man shouldn't be punished, but 30 years is way too long. It may be the LAW but it wouldn't be JUSTICE.

a) Metal Storm is real. Jam a bunch of special cartridges in a barrel and fire them electrically. You can't sustain the rate of fire for very long, but you do get a very, very high rate as long as the ammo holds out.

b) I still prefer Gatling guns.

I believe it is known as a Chicago Protector palm pistol.

According to another website, Leon Czolgosz used a .32 Iver Johnson hammerless revolver to shoot and kill McKinley, not a pistol such as this.

It also seems to be true that the further south one goes the sweeter the tea gets, presumably until you are deep into Florida when the unfortunate influence of our Northern transplants reverses the trend, culminating, no doubt, in a restaurant in Miami that serves root beer but not sweet iced tea.

When I was travelling on business outside the South I took matters into my own hands and carried a gallon of tea with me as I drove from city to city. I can't drink unsweetened tea, and adding sugar to it just gives you unsweetened tea with a sad slurry of sugar at the bottom. I don't understand how Yankees - or anyone - can drink such a thing.
