So, basically, 16 out of 18 agents didn't reply. This doesn't mean they rejected Jane Austen's work - it could mean that 17 out of 18 recognized it and only two were stupid enough to waste their time with a response.
Is David Lassman maybe a little bitter about rejection of one of his books?

Brayden,
"I could care less" and "I couldn't care less" mean the same thing. Google it.

"I could..." has a sarcastic tone to it.

Becki is right that our spelling is falling apart. Why, I can remember when people used to spell her name "Becky".

;-)

Is "loose" a verb at all? In "Let loose the dogs of war", it's an adjective. You could say "I loosed my bowels", or "Inga loosened her bodice". uh - where was I? Something about grapefruits...

lol.
Well, I wasn't thinking it at first, but imagine if you mixed up the ends - those scissors could do some poor boy some damage.

This is as crackpot a theory as phrenology - the "science" of reading the bumps on your head.

Or worse, like trying to sort people by race:

Blacks: big penis and hands/ small brain
Whites: Average penis and hands/ average brain
Asian: little penis and hands/ big brain

Read the headlines across the bottom. Almost as funny as the story itself.

Hint to those who don't know if it's real: you're seeing it on the Internet.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious, L.

After all, it could be used for other orifices, like picking your nose, or scratching your ear, or maybe even vibrating that lint out of your belly button.

It's obvious the makers had more than oral stimulation in mind when advertising this. An excellent example of "stealth marketing".

Ouch! Cheap shots flying left and right.

I don't think it's the issue of climate change that bothers Ron, but the thought that people with condescending attitudes take at face value any idea that seems to agree with their preconceived notions and make it an excuse to push their agenda on people.

For this example, the vegetarian Garden of Eden, where everybody stops eating meat, and anybody who disagrees is branded a "carnivore" or an "ignorant hick". Don't get caught up in your own bias, L.

Brandon's reply was good enough.

LOL @ history and mythology.

I don't think they were trying to prove anything. This just confirms that the Bible does have its historically correct moments.

Way to have a chip on your shoulder.
