I remember reading that the 1996 version of Betty Crocker was a computerized amalgam of several different races and facial traits to make a more 'ethnic' icon for the company because, as it turns out, white women aren't the only ones that cook out there. I'm just waiting for a completely androgynous Crocker sometime around 2020, once they figure out that men cook as well.

Gauldar,

One anecdotal story about someone, even if you know them personally, does not mean that everyone with a wieight problem thinks/feels the same way. Or will even face the same skin sagging issue. That is not normal for that to occur and might have occured because she lost that weight way too fast. When weight is shed at a healthy rate (about 2lbs. a week), the body has time to get rid of the extra skin as well. Rapidly shedding water, which a lot of dieting and weight loss really is, will result in sagging skin.
As the genius that I am, I would suggest that she see a doctor to find up what is F'ed up with her body to respond to weight loss that way.

Gauldar:
First, it's losing, not loosing. How often do we have to point this out?

Second, the problem with losing weight is not some BS about sagging skin. The problem is being lazy. No, it really is. That sagging skin crap is just an excuse and it doesn't happen to most in any case.

This is WalMart. This company should be bankrupt due to the complete and utter ineptness of everything about it, but somehow it thrives. I guess prices so low you'll trample your neighbor to death to shop there is what the masses care about.

SparkS, civics 101: the Judicial branch's job is to interpret laws, the Executive enforces them. Bonus points: The Legislative makes the laws.

Good people should not be punished for rendering good aid. The stupid and clueless, however should be no where near an emergency, especially when intoxicated; as it looks like was the case here.

Odd. I enjoy the occasional Whopper, but whenever I eat one, I spend the whole time trying to ensure that I will NOT smell like one afterward. If an onion falls out of the burger, leave it alone. Touching one of those will make your fingers smell like onions for days.

Jimmy: while I empathize with that sentiment, I believe that FARK is thatta-way...

Redphone: You just said what his last paragraph said. Thanks for playing.

Juanjux: you totally missed the point of what he was saying. Europe as we know it, the collective identity (if such a thing exists) of Europeans as they know it NOW did not exist THEN. Those living in the Eastern part of the Mediterranean saw that part of the world as the center of civilization and to say to them that they could be lumped in with the barbaric tribes to the north of them would be a great insult. Fast forward a few thousand years and that is no longer the case. Anyway, reading comprehension is a must, not a luxury, in the werld-wide webs. Try it sometime.

I have a sister-in-law that worked for the REAL CSI Las Vegas. We stopped mentioning the show around her after the first time... She didn't really care for it- I wonder why?

I worked closely with my state police for a while and they had a whole presentation prepared for schools that they visited that gave the harsh reality of what CSI techs really do. And yes, "we don't drive Hummers or wear designer clothes to the investigation" was at the top of the visual aid.

I stopped watching these shows once the plots became too neat, clean, and contrived.

Yes, people, World War Z is a work of FICTION, so please, in the future, keep your discussions about what you would do in the case of a ZOMBIE ATTACK based solidly in reality. We don't need whipper-snappers like you talking about crap that doesn't exist when discussing zombies. Thank you.
