I worked with someone who had a similar disorder. He could not recognize a person by his face. He had to memorize their shoes or ties. I learned about this because he had to ask me if I really owned *that* many dress shoes. The answer was, "Yep" and from then on I always told him my name when we talked.

Well let's face it. If you were going to write a post that advocated the ownership of another human being, wouldn't you want to put it in a fun, comforting font?

I think the reason that we did not accept the conversion is that the SI system is neither superior nor that much easier. I have used both for 40 years as a student, scientist, engineer and inventor. While converting inches to miles is more difficult than centimeters to kilometers, Here are a few constants that are equally difficult in both systems:

Force of Gravity 9.81 m/s2 = 32.2 ft/s2

Air Pressure 760 Torr = 29.92 inHg = 14.696 PSI = 1013.25 millibars

and the classic: pi = 3.145... in both systems.

I, for one, am a bit put off by the basic assumption of these designs. I do not live to work. Give me a utilitarian workspace so I can get the work done and get back to my real life.

Alternate theory, perhaps the marks on it are from it being bitten during some battlefield surgery. Researching famous bullet-bitings right now.

While it is certainly a spent Minie Ball (do I get credit for being the first to spell it correctly?). Perhaps it is the famous one that supposedly got a woman pregnant after passing through a soldiers testes.

As long as you are rich, there are winning lottery strategies. For example: if there are 8 million dollars bet on the lottery each time it is played, then buying 8 million dollars of tickets gives one a 50/50 chance of winning. If the prize is well over 16 million dollars, then it is a good investment.

This is a joke, right? Someone who has a "cognitive surplus" uses it to claim that other people who have it are more evolved than the rest of the population. LOL Cats. Dude, couldn't you have found a better example?

The piece is much more impressive on her website. The medium, the technique, the artists condition. Nothing to hang in your house, but excellent public art. Thank-you for the post.

Faulty logic. "Where there is smoke, there is fire." requires one to assume that the only way to make smoke is to have a fire. Everyone with that gene does not commit murder.
