Mytake- "How about we arrest them instead of hunting them down for fun and profit?"

Some time ago some of them were arrested to be put on trial and thrown in the slammer in a European facility. The reaction of those pirates was as if they had won the lottery- To them European jails seemed like top-luxury hotel accomodation with a good bed, good food, nice things to do and even some modest pay that to them was a fortune. I've never seen more happy customers when the judge spoke verdict...

Agreed- Making a fun-exiting holiday trip out of hunting for pirates perhaps is a little raking back to those "Good" Old Days when rich folks went out hunting Injuns and Kaffers.

...But I also don't think that these guys are scared all that much by threatening them with Western style jailtime...

"At the point where he was surrounded and outnumbered by a ratio as high as 9-to-1, he probably regretted making that choice."
Custer overheared by some Indians- "Oh darn, I just knéw I'ld regret that...!" ...And then he was shot dead by nine Indians toating Henry rifles...

Well I for one hope that both this girl and the guy who tattooed her, will get loads of cash generated by all the publicity.

I firmly do Not agree with "Tattoo’s only detract from the innate perfection of the female -or male- form”.
- I think that this is entirely up to the one that wants those tattoos. We do not have to agree, but we have to respect the personal choice of that person.
- Tattoos visually add to the personal story of a body. Apparently the owner of that body found it important to make that addition and anyone else has to respect that. We do not have to agree, but we have to respect that personal addition.
- I have seen more often the most wonderful tattoos that are True Art and True Beauty, adding incredible perfection to an already wonderful body.

In this case I do hope that the whole thing was orchestrated in advance, including the treading back on her footsteps in her now admitting that she lied.
I hope she in fact is at peace and in agreement with what she did when she took place in that chair and when she first looked in the mirror at the final outcome.

My personal opinion about her starry face is that I like it. I think that it looks real fine and I would respect her that she took such a powerful yet friendly tattoo.

No I agree with PETA- I won't vote on that Brute of a president- Mán he's an Animal!!! A Beast- I mean look at his reflexes! That is not human! Whuhhhhh Creepy....
I personally always carry at least 10-15 devices wherever I go not to harm the innocent critters that bug me. 1 for big houseflies, 1 for small houseflies, 1 for muskitos, another for wasps, yet another for big spiders and yet another for small poisonous spiders. Then I always carry all the equipment to catch snakes of different kinds that could perhaps cross my path and finally I carry a device to harmlessly neutralize dangerous dogs ánd I tote a tazer for the occasional niusant human.... - Oh, and I have them all invisible in my breastpocket of my suit...

Okay- So I took a turn at the eggpeeling too.
- 1st try: ...Forgot to boil the egg... Had to wash not only my hand but also the face of my wife.
- 2nd try: -Wife put me outside in the garden- ...Tapped too hard so the egg was sqashed.
- 3rd try: Gripped the egg too firm- Yuck...
- 4th try: Correct! ...But the dog caught it.
- 5th and 6th try: broke some glassware- switched over to plastic- Wife by now hysteric.
- 7th try: I know, I know... They did tell to EX-hale... Luckily my wife knew the Heimlich-manoueuvre.
- 8th try: Never happened- Wife took away any eggs left and put me comparatively safe at my pc.

...No- wayyyyyy to complicated for me....

For years as a child I had this weird idea that the Past was in black and white. Yes I knew that colour always must have been there. But when you saw photographs, the older they were, the more black and white they were. With the occasional hand-coloured ones as exeptions. So somehow it stuck in my mind that the past like those past wars and my grandparents and such somehow was lived in black and white.
To see any of the oldest possible photographs gives an eery insight as if looking through some timewarp into that past. These colourpictures give that effect even stronger.

Because of those old pictures, I had the idea that the faces of people from then looked different from today's people- that you could somehow recognise a face of someone of a past century if he or she was walking in todays clothes in todays crowd- that he or she would stand out somehow.
Te colourpictures also show that people in that past apart from their clothing look just like people now.

To me they show that it is only technique and culture that has developed- changed over the decades- not the people themselves.

So eery... Fascinating.
